Correct. Someone really doesn’t like waiver transactions.

Under the argument that few things in life are free.

I would point out that this is what makes Cary's refusal to bid during the first half of the auction strategy workable. 2 years ago he won the league cause he was the only one with cash at end of season.

quite the valid point. The league gives people many ways to win, kinda the way I like it

With 1 league player, cough/cough Dwaven Dopplebach, having bought up all three of the TE's in the draft, quite a few people put in bids for TE's. The good news for the rest of us was week 1, only 1 of those 3 were in the top 10 (Kelce is money - great pick up there.) I suspect Kittle will be crushing it again when the 49rs get into a good rhythm.

I have a suspicion that Goeddert is the TE to have in Philly this year. With their line depleted for the year already (seriously- Wentz could be really good if he had a good line)(maybe not Mahommes good, though), they will be in a ton of 2 TE sets. Apparently Erntz is unhappy about not getting a new contract and may walk at the end of the season - the Eagles probably want to know if Goeddert will be good enough to step in and take over.

Andrews is looking good again and hometown Fant for the Broncos finally looks decent (we haven't had a good TE since 2014 (Thomas) and not a great one since Sharpe (03)). I'm optimistic TE will be more spread out this year (I think it will still be Kelce then everyone else, though).

Lots of bid came in for Brown (5) and Hines (3) since RB's are hard to find and a couple already went down (Bell and Connors).

I do wonder this year if we'll see a lot of soft tissue injuries hurting WR's. It's shocking to see how many are injured already - quite a bit more than normal. Strange that those injuries seem to hit the WR's more than RB's.

Fun week one (even if I got blown out) - hopefully better fortunes are coming this week!

Fred

Good recap of events Fred, I agree with nearly everything you said, especially the soft tissue injuries being more prevalent. This season is going to be a wild card, if a team in our league goes undefeated or with zero wins I wouldn't be surprised.

With white suddenly our with no warning, and being down 100 points, I can only say one thing about my matchup this week...

Not to mention last week's hero Devante Adams getting injured as well....

Injury bug has hit at least 2/3rds of us.

Barkley 59 Dollars
Sutton 15 Dollars

Done for the season... quite a lot of my budget is gone, not to mention the other injuries that are only weeks long... it is going be a long season! :-)

Incidentally there isn't anyone on my roster that is not untouchable. If you think you can make me a good offer, offer away. Word to the wise however offering me 2 so so players for a stud player is probably going to be a no :-)

I am also open to trades - I have several good RB's available and WR2's - looking for better WR1 production.

I'm in pretty good shape once Thomas gets back but a QB would be nice.

Just saw the trade between America Springboks & Colts Full Nelson. I'm cool with it, but it got me wondering. Do we not submit each trade for a league vote?

I only ask because all other leagues i've been part of held a 24 hour time period before finalizing the trades in case there were those that felt the trade was uneven in some way.

Just curious, thanks.
