TOPIC: Winter Weight Loss Challenge

Ok, I am restarting a weight loss challenge. Definitely feels like groundhog day around here.

3+ months seems the right amount, so I'll choose the day before Momo con to end this one.

Starting weigh in will be any date from 2/1/23 to 2/8/23

Final weigh in date will be 5/21/23 to 5/24/23

Entry will be $20.

If we get 10 participants, I will donate a golden fleece as a 2nd place prize.

If we get 20 participants, I will also donate a bead of bounty as a 2nd place prize, and the golden fleece will move to a random prize.

I also have a surprise random prize from an anonymous donor!

I am eligible to win any prizes, if I actually do so.

Contest is % of initial bodyweight lost.

I'm in and money sent.

I'm in and 280 on 2/2/23. Just before Thanksgiving one leg of the step ladder I was standing on sank into the ground. It went down and I landed hard. Sprained ankle and damaged shoulder resulted. Recovery was slow and unfortunately I gained back what I lost last time. Good luck to everyone. Money has been sent.

Is there any specific way we need to confirm our weight, or just honor system that we took it? I should have a scale tomorrow.

I started my health journey after GenCon last year and have dropped 62 lbs since. I know it is a challenge for everyone.

That’s awesome! Before I hurt my back I was down about 50 lbs ( started around 220 ). Took me 8-9 months. Then I got lazy, messed up my back, and I love food and things really bad for me sooooo…. I gained it all back and as a punishment… gained and extra 30.

This is perfect since my wife and I were gonna start on Monday together after an early V day date this weekend. I’m hoping this next time I can stay strong… only difference is now I have 3 kids under 3… last time it was just the 2 of u. 😂😂 yay… ( unsure laugh )

Current weight is 278, that'll be my starting point. Goal weight is around 220, that's a healthy weight for me. Started at 298 a month ago, so I'm on my way.
