Oh bother. I’m coming back to TD after several years and it seems I missed some memos. What are my options to use the 1,000 GP bars and trade goods I traded heavily for? Are they just trash now?

I guess I should check on one token in particular too-- my group has a wooden +1 Heavy Repeating Crossbow that we still use. Is that still legal? I remember some of the wooden chips were re-issued as poker chips, but I don't think that one ever was.

Either way, maybe it's been replaced by something that makes it functionally obsolete?

Woodie weapons don't work well for in person play. I only use them now in VTD.

It is still legal. It won't magnetically hold in the sliders of course, but it will still work in them. There may be better ranged weapons now, but I think there is a certain nostalgic charm to sliding a wooden token.

It wasn't, but a Heavy Repeating Crossbow with an Enchanter's Whetstone effectively becomes a +1 Heavy Repeating Crossbow.

Looks like all I have left of the old gold backing goods are three 1,000 GP bars. If that interests anyone, feel free to shoot me a message.

were you able to get the rest traded?

Yes— I do have a dozen or so “monster bits” with gold back but I’m guessing those are still ok to trade in.
