TOPIC: Other forum auctions?

Auction 6 will mark the end of the onyx set auctions.

I will run one more auction with misc. odds and ends including other UR, transmute and volunteer tokens.

A quick informal forum survey: is this a reasonably good format to auction legendary and eldritch items?

Thanks - it has been exciting for a number of people to get some of these Onyx they have been missing. Can you do it every year?

I think the format is good but I would second the suggestions that for higher dollar items you extend the auction date if someone outbids the highest bidder. So for example if the auction ended today and the Eldritch item was $1800, and you receive a new bid of $1850 then the auction would end tomorrow at the same time. This prevents last minute sniping and you will get the best $ for an item.

PS - are artifact items auctionable?

Though I would love to see you auction off some high end tokens, I don't know that you will get close to their value for them. Honestly. I would see what the big sellers (Kurt, Laz, and the likes) would offer you for the all of them. It you feel it is not high enough you can auction them here.

Well - I'll certainly bid - and I haven't seen Eldritch items selling at a premium on eBay. On eBay there have been a few Boots of the South Wind around $700 in the last few months.

Do you own the +3 Holy Great Sword?

It would be interesting to see an artifact auctioned - I wouldn't auction one on eBay due to the chance of someone buying it who doesn't understand they can never use it (unless there is some fine print in the "soulforged" mechanic that allows soul transfer ).

Interesting question. What if someone sold their Soul to you? Would their Artifact Token then be usable by the Soul buyer??

I know some girl about 8 years ago sold me her Soul as part of losing a bet. I have the paperwork to prove it. She actually signed a Soul Contract giving me her immortal Soul. I actually carry around a laminated photocopy of it.

I am a fan of your auctions and enjoy the format.

However, I will echo what others have said that you should do a 'timer reset' of a day or so if you want to prevent auction sniping.

For the lower priced tokens it's not as big of a deal. It actually adds to the fun, in my opinion. But for the higher end tokens you may want to consider it to protect yourself and get the best price.

Is the curse transferable. ? I would take it

What is the curse?

No, not transferable. Have to say though, since getting the curse 10 years ago, I haven't had to carry potions with me into dungeons. Definitely lightened up the load.
