I had a Thursday evening player coach who messed up the Treasure Pulls on the party card. Unfortunately, didn't realize it was incorrect until the Epilogue room.

Took a few days to resolve (had to have Jeff/Lori correct the issue).

The one coach did not include spell damage for our mages. Ended up holding up combat showing tokens, which the DM really had no clue what the tokens were... had to explain each bonus and how it applies to damage. :( I guess as players we should double check the coaches cards (even if they copy from our cards) to make sure they include everything.

As a Wizard player, I always calculated my total spell damage and tell the DM. Between skill check, bonus damage, Ring of Spell Storing and MEC, any math I can offload from the DM is a win.

As a DM, I simply ignored that entire column. It was incredibly hit-or-miss on whether it was filled out accurately, or even at all, so I always asked the player if they had any bonuses to spell damage. Healing was on the player to accurately tell the recipient how much the spell did.

We fill out the card to make things easier. Great that you ask the players... but we had to stop combat to show each token, which is fine and we should have double checked at the beginning. Each DM is different. When I DM'd if the player said Hey the card is wrong here is the stats, I took it as they were right. Do not slow down combat for five minutes to get an understanding on how eldritch set works etc. Again this was just one DM... over all still a great time!

I had a training room coach shift sunday IDD puz side and was double checking party cards as they came through. There were a surprising number of incompletes on things like the treasure column, run difficulty, and in one case a player who didnt get filled out at all (but I think he came in super late so that one I understand).

Anyway, the moral is always double check.

If that happens again, please let me know at the time so I can make corrections.
Grazie :)
Have you looked it up in the TDb?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .
If I write something in teal, it should not be taken seriously.
Can we all please keep Hanlon's Razor in mind before making a comment?

That would be the coaching room coaches, not the training room group.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

Were you the run who was doing IDD Combat training around 12:30 Sunday? Talking about making a training video?
