Keg receptions are nice. Free Beer is nice. Generally lots of good peeps. Sad we won't have Trent's reception this year.

If you haven't had it yet, frozen custard is the more decadent brother of ice cream.

Spotted Cow, that’s it!

That's actually what they usually give away for free in the kegs I believe.

For amazing burgers, you'll need to drive downtown, but it's nearly impossible to beat Dotty's Dumpling Dowry.

For breakfast, The Curve kind of needs to be experienced to be believed. Bare bones diner, but their portions are insane. We're talking ~12" pancakes, as an example

Sadly I can't make it this year, but I'm still a Gamehole convention sponsor and a sponsor of the Friday night reception - click here for event.

As I have done in the past, if I were to attend, I'd do free giveaways and also provide free wings, snacks, soda, etc. But since I won't be there they'll just be free beer (which is what the other nights are as well). Sorry I can't make it this year, but I'll be there next year!

:)

On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, there's a free reception in the Clarion Lobby with a half barrel of Spotted Cow beer - that's free for 21 and over that attend - click here to see all of those events.

At GameholeCon, are a lot of TD runs organized on the forums, or is it mostly PUGs? I am good with both; just wondering if I should try watch here for LFG posts or just buy tickets from the Con site as soon as they open to the public.

Many GHC TD runs will be organized here on the forums. If you need runs at a particular time, you might want to buy them directly yourself, but you won’t know who else will be on the run or what difficulty the other players will want.

In the past, TD hasn’t sold out at GHC, but I have no idea what will happen this year.

This will be my first time transmuting tokens at an event. How fast is the turnaround? Asking another way, if I first need to transmute trade goods in order to have the materials to then transmute relics, will there be time for both during the Con?

I have never had a problem doing cascading transmutes during the same day of the con...they are really good about texting etc. I just wait for the text, go get the tokens, have my next order form ready, take the trade items and blend with the rest...then submit the relic. Fairly painless.

Its been years, but I've eaten at a lot of places in Madison. Mostly downtown / on campus though, and I have no idea how much survived the pandemic.

On Burgers, I concur on Dotty's - its awesome, and Nitty-Gritty is a pretty good fall back.

If you're going to do breakfast, I have to toss out a nomination for Mickey's Dairy Bar.

Pizza wise, again downtown, Ian's Pizza has some crazy pizza by the slice (ex, mac-n-cheese pizza).

I agree with Jamie. You should be fine to get it done during the con, and might even be able to do two turnarounds in one day. Being as organized as possible will make things easy for the transmute volunteers and will get you your tokens faster.
