TOPIC: iPhone based character builder

Hubby (Cranston) has been working like a dog and has a prototype app written that will build characters on an iPhone. It relies heavily on Amorgen's spreadsheet for the base data, so THANK YOU to him for developing that. If you see me at Who's Yer Con and are interested, I'll have the app loaded on my phone. We're looking for feedback on the layout, and suggestions for enhancements.

His target to get an app available for public consumption on iTunes is April or May of this year. His financial goal is to make back the money he's spent on the developer kit, so there will be some cost involved for the final product. At this time, there are no plans to get an Android app going, at least this year. Any other q's, please ask!

Since an iPad has so much more screen real estate, he's planning on re-working it to take advantage of that - so more of a major rehaul than a simple port. But yes, he'd like to get that going soon, too.

Our goal is to get the app out on iTunes next weekend. The iPad app is ready also, and screen shots of that are on the website, too. If possible, we'll make it so that if you buy one, you get them both, but we're not sure we can. Sorry, n00b iOS programmer here...

Also, I did the web site, and can't for the life of me figure out why you can't see graphics if you use Firefox. IE, Chrome, Safari, all seem fine. Sorry!

I see that some changes have been made since I saw it on your phone at WYC (including listing the slot first and then the item which is in it, instead of vice versa).

One question I have: Where it says "Cleric - 5" (in iPad version) or "Fighter - 5" (in iPhone version) ... am I right in assuming that means a Level 5 character?

If so, is there a way to make that a clearer indication, like "Cleric - lvl 5" or even "Cleric L5" ?

If there's not time to fix that before the official release, then maybe in a future update?

Other than that, it looks pretty self-explanatory, and I'm really looking forward to getting a copy for both phone & iPad.

Please put a link up when you put it up. FYI I'd gladly pay a couple bucks for that too.

I can see them with chrome.
Also I got to see it first hand at WYC. It is great. I will be purchasing it too. In case I need to make a character in the fly

It might be the slashes in the image links. Currently you have src="/images\iphone\stats.png" firefox might like it better if its src="/images/iphone/stats.png"

I'll definitely be getting this.
