I like that idea and actually anyone not attacking could wear Cloak of Blending (I have 5 just in case) and they would be unlikely to be attacked.

Good to know.

in my experience (having done 5-man groups several times) you can get 4-5 round vs the monster, if you've only got 5 people sliding. So if we're facing off against a monster with 200HP, we'll need to be doing 40-50 HP of damage per round.

I think that's doable, with this group.

We'll want to talk about how to keep things moving as fast as possible, though: including whether we want to skip the skill tests (getting in an extra round is more important than an extra 5 pts of spell damage, usually) and do we want the Paly/Cleric to hang back and use their (empty?) sliders to bump the heavy-hitters into better spots, if needed.

I am not sure the healing will be there to cover cutting (sure at the last room but eariler maybe no). If they want to cut the Taverbane kilt would probably be better for the HP because they will likely be guarded.

Tavernbane is already there. I wouldn't see him cutting before Room 7 unless we have a ranged fight issue.

With a full CoS party he would have 46 hp. With IHE he would have 41 and that one point of regen. Either way is good.

Cloak of Blending sounds good for Cleric, Druid and Bard, but that would mean they would all need to cut a token. So it does sound like CoS is out.

Cleric and Druid would be 2 Eldritch items (their choice) and Charm of Enlightment and LoDS. Round it off with Cloak of Blending.

As Paladin I will guard the Wizard and ? Who else wants to give up Armor? We do have 2 Legendary Mails between MasterEd and I believe.

I don't have all the builds yet but our HP without the CoS will be (I think):

Barbarian 5th Lvl 53HP 12AC
Bard 4th Lvl 18HP (I don't have Picc's build) 11AC
Cleric 4th Lvl 20HP (this is using Cloak of Blending instead of Lvl bump) 10AC
Druid 5th Lvl 30HP 12AC
Fighter 4th Lvl 26HP (I don't have Kim's build) 11AC
Monk 5th Lvl 30HP 17AC
Paladin 5thLvl 33HP (I could dump the lvl to get a 3 more AC) 32AC
Ranger 4th Lvl 24 HP (without the CoS Kurt could do a lvl bump or more Str) 13AC
Rogue 5th Lvl 24 HP 24AC (unless she uses shadowcloak instead of legendary mail)
Wizard 5th Lvl 41 HP (unless he dumps Kilt or Icecrag to borrow +3 Staff of Focus) 9AC

Just putting it out there.

I don't a have a Redoubt Shield anymore but forgot I could use the Templar instead of Mirthral Bracers or lvl bump.

I'm debating whether shadowcloak or armor is better. I think there's a very real chance of being attacked more than once in a combat, especially if (a) the DM has only 7 likely targets since the Pali will be high AC and 2 others are guarded, (b) we're aiming for 5 rounds of combat, and (c) we're playing on Nightmare and the DM is playing smart monsters who go after the weak spots.

If I do wear armour, I will gladly take anyone up on the offer for a loan of the Legendary Redoubt.

...and, if my math is correct, that'll put me at 27 AC, not 24.

Do you mean you don't have the token? Or the space to put it in your build?

Because I'm pretty sure there will be folks who can lend a Redoubt shield (even a Relic version, if the Transmute gets done before this run) if you want/have space for it in the build.

I meant not having the token. Yes if someone has a redoubt my AC will go up by 1.

I have a redoubt shield.

It may be worth noting that our saves are probably bad. I know mine are.

Yeah our saves our bad across the board. I don't think it is going to be a question of if we die, but when....lol.

If we get to Room 7, I'm happy. If at least one of us survives I'll count it a success.

I think some of us will get there. Just not all of us.

On that note I am thinking of being 5th Lvl so I have more lay on hands and Sacrifice.

Ring of Protection +4

I just realized I am Hodor, I cannot fight but damn if I don't make a decent wall/doorstop/meatshield.
