Unfortunately Jeff was right, Assassinate is melee only.

Lenses of Vital Insight only allow a sneak attack at ranged.

Per the Rogue Assassin card You need the Lenses to use this ability with ranged weapon.

Yeah I don't have the Lenses either. I figured getting a rare weapon from last year was easier than a UR from 2013 (meaning the Lenses).

I will have slot for the Awakened Synergy but I have my own. I do have 10 CoAvarice & 10 ISSilverNuggets in case anyone needs to borrow one. Though I am doubting it with this group.

As I mentioned from the beginning, I'm available around whatever the D&D schedule ends up being. Now that the schedule is out, I may not be able to make this run.



The D&D Epic, literally the one event I wouldn't want to miss, is Friday at 2:00pm - 6:00pm...LOL.

I'm checking with my buddies now, and if they don't do the Epic, I'll join this run. But if they do the Epic, I'll sadly have to bow out. I should know in a few days and I'll keep you guys posted.

On to re-read the Druid Summoner card......

Curiosity got the best of me so I looked into it. There are 2 rares that are 1/3 chance of a 6:

Surprisingly there are also a few commons that are 1/3 but they aren't better.

+3 Viper Fang is BIS for Assassin

I suppose that depends on your definition of 'best'

Jeff's point is that the 2 items he selected have 2 "6"s on them, meaning that 1/3 of the wheel would result in a successful melee assassination on a 20.

The +3 VSF is the best weapon that has any 6 on it, and therefore could also be considered 'best,' though it only has half the chance of actually landing on a 6 out of 6 possible outcomes.

I'll be at origins and have a +1 iron nettle if you needed to borrow one.
