TOPIC: XP Updates/Corrections

I have received many emails from people who need their XP totals either updated or corrected. Rather than reply to umpteen individual emails, I thought I would make a general announcement here that the updates are being made. I will make another post to the forum once the online database has been updated so everyone can verify their totals. Once again, because of volume I will not be replying to individual emails about this unless I need additional info or you have specific questions. Thanks,

Lee

Any update on this?

Just wondering when we would start seeing the updates for XP.

I am currently working on the volunteer arrangements for SoCal. Our deadline to provided the information to Gencon is Oct. 14th, so that is my main focus right now. I would think that the XP will be updated within the next 10-15 days.

Well, it's November 18th and still no XP's. Maybe we will have them before Gen Con Indy 2005.

We have the XP database online now...just waiting for Jeff's approval to allow people access.

Could you post a pointer or link to the database here in the forum?

I posted this link in a couple of other threads, but this is a good place for it also.

Email me if anyone sees a problem with their totals...

Lee

FYI: The totals are not updated yet, they will be today.

GenCon 2003 Indy: True Dungeon
Last Room Reached: 7
Base XP: 650
XP Per Room: 50
XP Gained For Event: 1000

GenCon 2004 SoCal: True Dungeon
Last Room Reached: 8
Base XP: 650
XP Per Room: 50
XP Gained For Event: 1050

Total XP: 2050

See now...I don't recall ever being at Indy. That 2003 Indy one should be 2003 SoCal.

Somewhere it is written... If you were at SoCAL 03...it could show up as Indy...if this is a real problem you can ask to have it fixed...

If I were in that group, I would say give the guys a break don't ask for this to be corrected...I for one am happy with the turn around on data entry and the format of being able to view experience is fantastic!

I suspect that the system will only track what is done for one year, as this is what your level is based upon...so those that did GENCON SOCAL 03 should see that drop off soon anyway??? OR perhaps it does not drop off but stay on a little longer being that it looks like INDY - this makes it possible for players to earn 3rd level easier??? (My thought not TA staff...anyone want to say officially?)

I used the older data (XP only and no event location info) and "backed-in" to the last room reached for the 2003 Indy and SoCal events. So, if you played at SoCal in 2003 your results will be reported as Indy. You get the same number of XPs for either event but if you _really_ want to change your event from SoCal to Indy please let Lee know."

There ya go, that should address the issue.

On a related note... WOOO, I AM NOW OFFICIALLY LEVEL 2.
