TOPIC: Billing address doesn't update from checkout

I was attempting to order a transmute token, and I've had a poor experience. In step 2 of checkout, the website stored an old address of mine, so I updated it and deleted the old one. I proceeded to use Paypal check-out. Problem is, after I've been charged, I find in the Transmute Order Form that my address was NOT updated! There's no confirmation of address in between these steps, so I wasn't able to review my information before being charged.

The first time I actually chalked this up to user error and immediately tried again. I picked the transmute again, saw my old address was saved and fixed it again, and charged to Paypal. Same result, same bad address. I even tried a third time with the same result, so shame on me I guess.

I now see that you can update your addresses from the My account button, but I find it unacceptable to be led to believe that you can update your account from checkout, fail to do so, then be charged without confirmation. I was trying to send in tokens before the Dec 1 deadline, but I'm not doing any more business with this store until I get my money back. If you're a staff member who can fix this, I left a voicemail on your number and we can discuss via phone. I felt the need to post publicly to warn others about this issue.

I'm browsing on Firefox, if it matters.

UPDATE: Double-checked my confirmation emails. The first "Your order has been created" email has the correct information, and the second "Your order has been confirmed" email has the INCORRECT information. Not cool.

Sorry to hear about the trouble, SarcasticBandage. I’ll contact this site’s developer and ask him to fix the issue ASAP. Thank you for bringing the problem to our attention.

I think I had a similar problem several years ago and a big part of the problem was the the address was coming over from PayPal. I wasn’t even aware that PayPal still had the old address. I’m not saying that is the entire problem but that was my problem.

That’s what I suspect as well, Bob. We’ll see what our dev comes back with.

I thought that too Bob, but there has to be an address stored somewhere that is in neither place. I updated my PayPal and True Dungeon addresses when I moved to California, but my QTR guide still shipped to my IL work address. I double checked again after that and confirmed that my TD store account only had one address, and my PayPal address switched over when I switched my bank. But then last week I got a confirmation for my Modules which were again shipping to my IL work address. So it was not pulling from any TD account and must be still tied to the original order.
