TOPIC: Recent Topics Filter

It would be awesome if there could be a filter for the recent Topics list. Recent Topics is how I find the stuff I haven't read. But lately it is consistently filled with threads for forming groups for upcoming events. And now that there are events every month, this won't be a seasonal thing, it will just keep going. I would like to uncheck some boxes so that those threads no longer show on my list of recent posts. Thanks.
