TOPIC: Forum recent topics filter?

Something that I think would be an amazing addition to the forums would be a filter option for the recent topics.
Would just be a list of the forum sections and sub-sections that you could uncheck to exclude that section from your recent topics page. That could be very helpful for anyone who would like to follow conversations/posts during times of heavy posting about a specific thing...ie. right now lots of posts about forming groups at gencon. Or when there are tons of posts during token design.
It is great to have the forums to gather and find all this in one place. But when one subject takes over half the posts on your recent topics, it becomes inevitable that you are going to miss something else that you wanted to see.

I would absolutely use the filter for the posts on groups forming. I'm really glad the forum provides that function for people that are forming groups, but they don't apply to me.
