I just did a search for them and the official site still sells them for 20 bucks plus shipping, but Amazon (as of this writing) has them for four dollars plus shipping, but it's eligible for free shipping with Amazon Prime. The MagnoGrips could make for some cool bracers (but their cost is rather prohibitive compared to the Tool Band-It).

No clue, but I don't intend to put my IPhone near them - they aren't strong enough to get you stuck to the fridge if you happened to walk by wearing one, but if a token is fully on it's surface, you need to expend some effort to remove it, and they don't slide around on it's surface easily. I think the commercial shows some guy carrying a hammer around on it - I don't advise that, but I believe it would hold one.

I would not trust them around electronics, credit cards, or room keys!

They are very strong magnets and I would not put any of them near an electronic device nor mag-card.

Ahh good points, two things I would not want to fail me at GenCon - my credit card and my room-key.

the room key can fail me..i can go get another from the front desk..the credit card cant fail me

You should be a sales rep for them, I just bought several. I was going to make my own but at that price who needs too. I'm sure I'll be making some other holder type things like a sash just not sure what yet.
