It must be fair season or you must live out in Amish country to have that much milk to give Druegar. As always thanks for keeping the database accurate as it is for those of us who use it to replace failing memories.
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven

O wow. Thank you very much. I am unfortunately lactose intolerant so it will take me awhile to finish all of this. Perhaps I'll use it to attract some of the neighborhood cats so that I can pet them.

It has a different name and a different graphic than the "75 GP Amethyst Gem" (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009 Rare) - tokendb.com/token/75-gp-amethyst-gem/ .

I waited a week and didn't receive an answer. Does this mean I should ask this question somewhere else? Or does "no answer" mean that it's not a relevant question? Or maybe no answer means, "no?"

:)

In case my question wasn't clear, I'm saying that one is called "75 GP Amethyst Gem" and the graphic is square (this is on the tokendb), and the other is called "75 GP Amethyst" and the graphic is oval (the picture I provided), and not in the tokendb. The question is, are they different items?

UPDATE - I just noticed that they are listed as two different items in the truedungeon.com/newsletter/Trade_Token_Guide.pdf , but I'm not sure if that helps answer the question or not.

Sorry for the delay, I somehow missed it the first time around. Or I read it and forgot to respond. I'm getting older every day...

A lot (most?) of the woody gems and a few of the first round of chippy gems were kind of consolidated into one listing, even though the earlier versions had slightly different names. It was an editorial decision. You're welcome to disagree with it, but barring a direct request from El Queso Grande, I'm disinclined to change them.

Bear in mind, the TDb's primary purpose is to explain how tokens work. It was created because tokens can't have paragraphs of text printed on them and we needed a way to flesh out and clarify functionality yet still be flexible and easily updatable.

The text on the token says:

Is this the same as "Potion Darkvision" - or is "Potion of Darkvision" something diffferent?

tokendb.com/token/potion-darkvision-r/

Good question Matt. As far as I know there were only two printings of the rare version, one from the 2005b series and the other was 2006. Both of these I believe have the printing as you describe with the word "Potion" and then "Potion of Darkvision". So not sure what Token is shown on the Tokendb.

Just wondering if the grand master of Tokens can address this one as it's bugging me. I looked again and can only find record of the 2005b and 2006 versions of this Token with the text as Matt described - "Potion Potion of Darkvision". The one shown in the picture on the Tokendb that just says "Potion Darkvision" is a mystery..........

No disagreement here, just asking the question.

:)

Just so I make sure I understand the answer, and since the picture on the tokendb is not a woodie, has a different name, and a different graphic, it seems like you're saying the following names existed for the following years:

Woodies:
2003 - 75 GP Amethyst Gem
2004 - 75 GP Amethyst Gem
2005 - 75 GP Amethyst Gem
2006 - 75 GP Amethyst Gem

Chippies:
2007 - 75 GP Amethyst Gem

Then the name and graphic changed to:

2009 - 75 GP Amethyst (the token I have, and the picture I provided).

So what doesn't quite make sense, or what I'm misunderstanding, is that the name/graphic changed between two different chippies, not with the woodies? And as i recently mentioned, they're two different things in the truedungeon.com/newsletter/Trade_Token_Guide.pdf (page 48).

Here's the two side by side:
