I think that talked me out of making it.

I anticipated a Golden Fleece too, but don't mind if it's missing.

Glad to see no Golden Fleece. Too many legendaries this year that require being Fleeced :silly: to begin with.

Correct. It's the same ingredient list as the Supreme Ring of Elemental Command , but substituting the seven Rod Segments for the four Elemental Rings.

Just for completeness and a direct comparison of cost vs. benefit, why don't you give us a clear, distinct and unmistakable post indicating the powers of the completed rod just like that one that lists the costs. I'm aware of:

- eldritch power
- power of each of the seven parts
- advances druid and ranger but no one else to 5th level

and since we have one of each trade item to add to the recipe, what else do we get?

My current opinion is that the cost of the rod is pretty high considering that the rod itself and the rod parts are all slotless. All you get for making the complete rod is the eldritch power and the level boost for two classes, one of which gets every benefit imaginable already.

also - a promise that completed rods won't end up in the treasure box in the future, and rod parts won't show up as treasure, at least until after the transmuting window ends, would be nice too.

Clarity on stacking rules for completed rods and rods parts, and different or the same rod parts with each other, would be nice too.

Since our group plays druid but not ranger, I'm struggling to justify making two complete rods instead of just one. Why is a completed rod better than having all seven parts singly for any class other than druid and ranger?

Hopefully I've missed something along the way. It has happened before with my lack of attention here and the haphazard information dissemination process, but if not....

No sense getting caught holding a crashing stock twice.....

I believe you also have the once per year use of a prestige class

Correct, you must show your completed rod to get a prestige class card which can be used once by turning it in before character creation. Each rod is numbered so it can only be used once per year.

Individual Rod segments do not stack with completed rods and completed rods do not stack with each other.
