TOPIC: Character Token Tubes

Character Token Tubes 11 years 8 months ago #1

I'm looking to kit out full red versions of the classes my team does not cover to have as loaners for group members who may not be as well equipped.

I'd like to have a token holder that will hold a standard character so that I can label and store said tokens.

Does anyone have a good suggestion for this? Something that will hold up fairly well and isn't overly bulky?

What is the possibility of getting 10 holders like I am looking for while at GenCon this year?

Thanks for any assistance!

I know the coinsafe us gold eagle is nice and inexpensive but depending on your quantity of tokens it may not hold a whole character.

That's kind of a neat idea - hold a basic character setup in a tube. It'll be heavy, but will also function as a set of brass knuckles in a pinch. Or at least your backpack will make a great weapon.

That's basically what I do (and yes 12 characters worth of tokens are heavy). I just ended up getting one of the 24 coin wallets for each class. They fit well enough in a typical messenger bag.

It's not a tube, but it's still a simple and cheap solution:

You could reuse the token bags, one per character. Splotch different color paints on them to easily tell the classes apart.

I find the tokens tend to stay in a stack at the bottom of the bag (If I put them in that way to start).

It's a little bulky, but after I put my tokens in I roll them up. This is how I currently separate my character tokens, rares, and other tokens day to day at the Con.

I did see this on amazon, but I have no idea how durable they are:

I have two styles of plastic tubes on my web store: a thinner, smaller-capacity and cheaper one, and a much sturdier, slightly smaller one. I'll have both at Indy with me, so look for mr if you need a few.

Sweet! That should cover what I need.

Figure around 15 total just to cover all of our random token holding.

Really, Token Sashes work the best, especially if there are any tokens you may need to show the DM.

Probably a FAQ, but where does one obtain a token sash and how many tokens do they hold?

Doing a search for "token sash" yielded no less than two threads called "Token Sashes"
