TOPIC: Girdle of Frost Giant Strength:Multiple Printings?

I have three Girdles of Frost Giant Strength that have the marbled yellowish background that all other 2012 tokens have. Then I have one that has a more uniform and lighter-colored background that looks the same as 2013 tokens (but it has the 2012 symbols on it).

Is it possible the three were printed with the 2012 tokens and the one was printed with the 2013 tokens (since you could still transmute it in 2013)? Or is it possible I have a fake?

I notice the same thing with a few Rings of Improved Evasion I have, so I'm thinking it was multiple printings.

I don't have a direct answer, but I have 1000 GP bars that exhibit at least this amount of variation among themselves.

I would hope that your oddball token just came from ma point in the print run where the thing was running out of yellow or red ink. I would look closely at the pale one and the darker ones, and see if the same "parchment" pattern is evident, but at very different levels of saturation.

I believe Jeff did another print run of those three Relic tokens for the super treasure boxes, and that second print run did have a different background (as you say, probably the 2013 background). All the Relics I've seen from those boxes have the lighter colored background. I really prefer the color scheme from the original printings.

The pale color is most look like breached and it is usually from black and white choice from the standard printer. It was the one that more look like a proxy token for weapon without the red ink in writing that said "Proxy". Stuff like that I will have it confirm by Jeff Martin after a couple of weeks after he proper mourning for his father at point. So if any one has a tokens in questions, please take a pic and post it, so that we could distinguish the different.

I may come up with two ideal ways to prevent the replica these tokens from being used for standard trade and sell. By cheap efficient cost and the simple method of the process of making these tokens. I will reply later after looking through few referring detail needed to confirm it.
