TOPIC: Token Markings

Token Markings 9 years 9 months ago #1

I would like to see an indicator on tokens that are volunteer or completion tokens. A small V or C or something - I am sure I have sent in completion tokens for trade goods, but they would be more valuable for transmuting into things like the Ring of Heroism. Thoughts?

This was mentioned before, I think worries about crowding the label were the reason it was shot down.

That being said, I'm a fan. Either small letters or a symbol for each type would be nice.

I usually keep them separate. If I am unsure, it is the cookie factory for me :)

Yeah, I know there are concerns about overcrowding the token face, but I think a small letter or symbol, like the current asterisk used for the transmuting path tokens, would be okay.

I strongly agree that we could put a few symbols on the token face that would be helpful:

1. A transmute type symbol indicating the transmute type, or can not transmute.
2. A source symbol indicating what of: pack, completion, transmute, dungeon only, volunteer, appreciation, ???

Given how well the year icons work, this seem like a no brainer. The could be positioned to the immediate left and right of where the hands icons go.

If things are really too crowded, the left hand year marker could be left alone, and the right hand year marker could be replaced with one or both of these.

I concur. It would definitely be nice to, at the very least, have something on the token to indicate what it can be transmuted into. It could simply be a miniature version of the icon on the trade good. So a Mystic Silk would have a little roll of silk on it, about the size of one of the hand icons.

If an icon is an ingredient to something special (e.g. also used in a Relic recipe) it could have an asterisk next to it as a reminder.

On a semi-related note, does anybody have a quick reference of all of the year symbols? I can't always remember some of the older ones and there doesn't seem to be a place that lists all of them.

I also agree about some kind of special small marking. I've been trying to keep track of my completion and volunteer tokens, due to how chaotic a couple of the runs were for me last year I think I ended up letting something borrow or traded away my Ioun Onyx Sphere which I'm super ticked at myself about it. Markings would help fix problems like that. Now I keep all of those 'special to me' tokens away from all the other tokens.
