TOPIC: Treasure Tokens

Treasure Tokens 7 years 2 weeks ago #1

So I've just sorted all my treasure tokens because I was thinking on doing a crafting job, but I got approx. 400 random treasure tokens.
I don't know if it'd be better to sell them and let someone else who knows what they're doing. If I kept them for crafting, I need suggestions in how to sort all this excess gear.

First, set aside all of the tokens you use for your build(s).

Second, sort the rest into piles of gold, commons (black text), uncommons (green text), rares (red text), and others (monster bits, trade goods (brown plastic), transmutes (light blue plastic), completion tokens, grieves,...).

Third, go through them again and make sure you didn't miss monster bits (newer ones say Ingredient for making Transmuted items) in the commons or completion tokens in the uncommons and rares. Completion tokens are the easiest to miss. Check the Online Token Database for any you are not sure about.

Finally, you will want to see how many of each type of trade good you can make from these piles. Once you have that info, you will have a better idea on what you need to start transmuting.

Of course I am presuming you don't have any of the very special tokens. Most of these will have different color plastic (not gold or platinum).

I only have them sorted by item type and duplicates. Only "specials" I have are from volunteering and older tokens that were promotions from older runs like the treasure tokens. Nothing above a red rarity.

I can sort out the items once I'm home by your system.

The last database I referred to was missing some of my items.

I would also suggest looking at the current year (and last year) transmutes which are still available. If you find something you like then you can work towards that recipe. Remember most recipes only last for 2 years (there are exceptions - Orange tokens, legendary, are timeless recipes).

Use the TokenDB to look for them: tokendb.com/?fwp_rare_box=transmuted-enhanced-3-pt%2Ctransmuted-exalted-4-pt%2Ctransmuted-relic-5-pt

Then pick the Year (2017 or 2018)

If you don't find anything that you think is worth saving for you can either still transmute your base items to trade goods and save them for next year's transmutes or you can come talk to be at a con and I trade your common/uncommon/rare stuff in for better Rares for you current character.

My suggestion is get your main character and any alternate characters in most Rare (Reds) first. Fill in with inexpensive Transmutes as you see fit. If you see an awesome Transmute 5 Star (Relic) one you like get that within the recipe window (2 years). When you have already done that then mulch the common/uncommon/rare in to trade goods to save for future recipes.

Some of the red volunteer tokens are great! Be sure not to turn any of them in for trade goods!!!
