TOPIC: Arcanum Set Bonus - Figurine of Power Slot Clarification Request

Currently the Arcanum Set has a stated bonus of "may equip an additional Figurine of Power". Will this stack with the FoP gained at 16CHA?

As written, it does not without clarification as the CHA bonus is:
"Charisma: Doesn’t directly affect the party card, but if your character has a CHA of 16 or higher, you may equip up to two Figurines of Power. Without a high CHA, you can only equip one"

The reason I ask is the Arcanum Set uses the same wording as the Psyferre's Spectacles, which has a tokendb entry explicitly stating " This perk stacks with the ability to equip a second Figurine of Power from having at least 16 Charisma." Unlike Ioun Stone of Pride and Crown of Allure which both state the wearer may equip a "maximum of 2 FoPs".

Also if does stack, is there a FoP slot limit, as we would now have the ability to equip up to 4 FoPs with Arcanum, Psyferre's and the CHA Bonus.

If this is up for vote / feedback, I’d say don’t have it stack with the Cha FoP. Given the sacred circle ring already gives Cha, this extra FoP ability would just even out FoPs for low Cha classes like dwarf fighter.

I definitely think it needs to stack, because it states pretty clearly that it's a set bonus for the Arcanum set. If it didn't stack, it wouldn't be much of a set bonus.

I would say that I don't think that adds any balance to the game other than making it worse for Bard, Cleric, Druid, Paladin and Rogue. Probably triplely so for Bard and Paladin who do have a lot of dead stat points, and had naturally had their 2nd FoP slot.

Only one class in the list has in the overpowered category.

I'm fine making ruling for clarity, but I don't think this balances anything given the power level of the classes affected. If its more easily understood as not stacking then let it not stack.

Edit: I'm also fine balancing a set bonus, I just don't think that not stacking accomplishes that task

Since the set bonus isn’t on the tokens, and it’s massively too good right now anyway, I’d be cool if the FoP bonus just went away. Honestly, the set could be 1AC per item equipped and +1 level at 2 piece and everyone would still equip the items

I doubt everyone would equip them at that, since most of the people that would equip this already have +1 Level from some other source. It seems pretty clear to me that the bonus was supposed to stack, hopefully that gets clarified.

I doubt my group would use the +1 Figurine bonus, as many in our group don't have any equipped, but I'm sure many people would like that bonus.

I certainly agree that I think the set bonus is on a whole too powerful at the moment, especially given the power level of the individual items. I'd like to see the bonus dropped entirely from the set bonus at this point, if the FoP went too I'd think that was fair. Though barring that rework I'd just say we want to keep rules consistent.

There was a pretty extensive forum discussion involved with setting the bonuses for Arcanum, I hope that True Dungeon isn't going to reopen it for discussion / nerfing now that it is set.
