TOPIC: Equipping the Ring of the Sacred Circle with other Circle Rings

I don't see any restrictions on equipping a Ring of the Sacred Circle with a Ring of the 1st Circle or any of the other Circle Rings. I am not sure this will come up often, but I know the Rod of Seven Parts does not stack with the individual Rod pieces, so I thought I'd ask.

There is a difference in that the Rod and it's segments are all slotless.

I thought about that, but I am not sure that makes a big difference. The Rod segments and the completed Rod give stat bonuses, and the Sacred Circle ring gives stat bonuses just like the Ring of the First Circle. I may be over thinking this, but it can't hurt to get a ruling from TPTB.

There's nothing preventing someone from doing that. They have different names, after all.

You could make a similar argument for the Rod pieces and the completed Rod, but the segments don't stack with the completed Rod.

Going by precedent, they probably can be equipped together as the Ring of Supreme Elemental Command has not restrictions on if it can be worn with any of its components.

However, every chain is up to the TPTB to decide, sometimes the limit things for diagetic reasons (No wearing two eyepatches), sometimes its for balance reasons (Havoc Rings, Bead of Whispers). Usually this stuff pops up in token design iirc, but as of right now there is nothing preventing you.

I wouldn't assume one way or the other, its quite possible the ring of the sacred circle ends up saying something like "counts as all other circle rings" in its token DB entry. Personally I lean to the you shouldn't be aloud but I don't have strong feelings one way or the other.

I mention that there aren't currently any restrictions in my original question. Asking now if that is potentially going to be a thing is better than finding out later.

Nothing's official until posted by TD, but I did pose the question directly to Jeff and his response was "I'd say you can equip both in both cases. Why not?" The other case he refers to is Mark of the Tenets and its components. Thought if I was asking about one, I might as well ask about both. If you have the Rune Giant Totem you could equip Mark of the Tenets and a Mark of the Nth Tenet.
