TOPIC: Possible New $8k Super Condensed Option? Trade 2 Option

Please give me your feedback on this idea for a new $8k Super Condensed Pack option in 2027. A big thanks to Kirk and Wyld for their math help!

Instead of the normal distribution (determine by that year's token slots) you would swap out some Trade 1 tokens to get more Trade 2 tokens. As this is listed, it would have about an additional value of $38 more than the standard $8K Super Condensed using the average of the "Last 5" and the "Full Season" averages to compute the value of each token. I think "averaging the averages" would be the best way to mitigate some of the wild swings from Ring Con influences earlier in the year. Below are the details.



Note: Unless you specify in the order text box, all Trade 1 token quantities will be shipped as 10x chips. But if you want some non-10x chips, just let us know exact details in the order text box.

Jeff, I 1000% think this is an outstanding idea. I would choose that every time.

My only suggestion would be to adjust Darkwood Plank and Mystic Silk further down so that both Elven Bismuth and Oil of Enchantment get boosted up to 20 (or both to 19 if it's not possible to get both to 20). Otherwise Oil of Enchantment will continue to be the bottleneck in recipes.

Just to clarify, this would be one option for Super Condensed, and the traditional Super Condensed would also remain?

I'm concerned about the decrease in Minotaur Hide and Dwarven Steel, since we no longer get token packs in VTD. You can make DP, MS, and PS without commons but cannot do so for DS and MH. I'm also predicting a future shortage of Enchanter's Munitions.

Is the replacement of token packs with trade goods confirmed to continue in 2027? I thought both that change and putting older tokens in the treasure mix were implemented to address a shortfall in 2026 tokens due to tariff uncertainty. Has there been an announcement on 2027 VTD token packs and treasure mix?

I also worry about the drop in DS and MH as well, with people looking to make mythic tokens, needing upwards of 50 of those tokens, the drop might make those more tricky to pick up. Also, the insane price increase of OE and EB were mostly due to the increased use in transmutes, combined with lower Uncommon Weapons and Armors in sets over the past 5 or so years. The jump to 7 of each this year is a welcome change, and going forward, might need that to be the new standard to help things get a little bit more back to normal.

Are people struggling to get Aragonite these days? Perhaps we can drop the proposed Aragonite levels down and swap some with OE/EB like others have called for, or perhaps keep the DS and MH levels where they are.

I very much support the spirit of this idea, however balancing a 8K order off of secondary market prices of tokens feels like it could get TDHQ in a odd precedent. If a rebalancing is needed perhaps we can do this in a identical way by adding a new transmutes like the treasure maps

One for each of the trade 2s. Make it like a skull of Battarak

For example
Pure Eleven Bismuth Ingot
Worth 5x Elven Bismuth
Receipe 1
Some amount of TG1

Receipe 2
Some smaller amount of TG2

Valid for two years (or forever I can't say I care but leaving room to readjust is always nice)

I like the goal of this idea, I'm not gonna complain if it goes though as it is. It just worries me a bit in setting community expectations in a odd way. It feels like it could be a monkeys paw for you all down the line

We did look into all kinds of trade-offs, but the high value of Oil of Enchantment, dropping AG, DP and MS more would not offset the increase in total value for this option. The list shown here is the best we could do given all factors.
