TOPIC: Previously 00 Pack Discussion - Now Otter Run!

Here's the question, if you order a 100(120) pack all as one, are you guaranteed a 00 pack in the order, or is it still completely random?

The question arises whether or not I've been gypping myself out for the past two years, because I can't stand to spend that much in one chunk on something like tokens.

In a semi-related note... 10% of my rares this year were frigging Hats of Escape. Six in one 15-pack box! ARGH!

i got a 30 case and got a 00 pack...
+2 dagger of venom =D

What were you looking for? I might trade for a few Hats of Escape.

PM sent with some details.

Hats of Escape are sweetness - one of the better rares in the set in my mind. You're a lucky dog.

Equip everyone in the party with a Hat of Escape!

That's 8; I've still got 4 left over.

You could have done worse than the hat of escape. Debatably, the only better rares this year were the ioun stone lavender ellipsoid and the torc of natural armor. My understanding for token orders is that the presence of an ultra rare is entirely random (comes that way from the factory, no manipulation by Jeff) and there is no guarrantee of encountering an ultra rare regardless of the size of the order. If that is wrong, someone please correct me.

I feel pretty lucky with my tokens this year, and with JimC's somewhat unwitting help at TR. He was complaining that most of the draws out of the token box were crap which might have just been some simple hyperbole on his part. I, of course, moved right in and offered to clean up any garbage he might not want. He ended up parting with lotsa reds that he didn't feel were up to snuff and that combined some draws of my own and a few packs and I was able to get together a set. Not bad considering that usually the way it goes is you buy 120 packs and still end up short one or two rares. I managed to fill with just 30.

Obviously, the humbling effect of your willingness to clean up someone else's garbage caused the gods to show favor.

On a sidenote, I'm hoping for the day when Jeff just decides to sell URs without the rest of the tokens with it. I'm not sure I really want any more tokens. I was digging through the piles yesterday and you wouldn't believe how many alchemist fire's I found. I actually thought about setting up a pyro run where all participants can only use alchies and nothing else just to get rid of them.

There should be a token exchange for potions, alchemist fire, and similar tokens that still do not have an exchange.
