TOPIC: Group Joining/Formation

My TD group has fluctuated in size over the years but we've always bought out whole slots and then filled them afterwards from the forums and amongst friends. This year was enough of a debacle that I think I'd like to stop having to do that. Ideally, this means either joining or forming a new TD group. Right now, my core group has just 3 members. I figured I'd check and see if anyone else had an opening for three in theirs where the classes fit first and if not, put together one myself.

Henry - Class preference: Ranger
Richard - Class preference: Fighter/Dwarf Fighter
Melissa - Class preference: Bard
Rafiq - Class preference: Paladin
Rafiq's Brother - Class preference: Cleric
Ryan Short - Class preference: Rogue/Druid
Ryan Short's supposed* girlfriend - Class preference: Rogue/Druid
Balthazar - Class preference: Rogue/Monk
Chris Smith - Class preference: Paladin

I've actually just started playing Ranger this year but I picked up all the purps I need and I'm thinking of transmuting my first legendary, Io's bow, which would best be used by the Ranger.

So anyone have room for those classes in their nightmare group? I also have a fully purped out Rogue build with all the trimmings.

* No offense on the 'supposed' part. Suspicion is the default condition whenever any gamer tells you they have a girlfriend no one's met yet.

I would love to get into a regular combat group who can run Nightmare... but I really loved playing Ranger (my first time this year). With the level bump from the Eldritch set and the fact that I already have two +3 Viper Fangs and a +2 Keen Slayer Bow and enough Dexterity for the legendary bow (which, at the very least, I'll have next year, if not some legendary Viper Fangs) I'd rather stick with Ranger myself... which makes us playing together a bit of a challenge

My girlfriend and I would love to get into a regular high difficulty group! Since we didnt have one this year we were only able to convince one of our four runs to run harder than normal..... granted i ran with at least 15-20 new peolle between those runs and had a ton of fun doing it.... wed really like to get our max xp every year! We play rogue and druid.

I and my brother would love to join if we come next year. I prefer Paladin and my brother is an awesome Cleric.

P.S. Plus we can use golden kiwi chu hi as healing potions!

My primary choice is Rogue, but my back-up is Monk. I have run with Rafiq the last two years and always enjoy the dungeons, even with a crappy room 7 in Viper this year.

It would be great to see you back at gencon Rafiq. I know this year wasn't possible but I'd love to try to form a core group with you and your brother.

I'm not sure if I've ever run with you balth, but any friend of Rafiq's....


It would also be nice if whatever group we form could at least max out on Charms of Good Fortune and perhaps synergy. I dunno if the spellcasters want to try to do the same with Cabal. How are you guys set up? Balth? Ryan?

We both have CoGF but thats the only group bonus token we have. We have every spot filled with at least a rare quite a few purps and a couple relics. Im working towards the +3 tang this year and she's working on the relic ring of focus. I can compile a more complete list when I get to my computer if you'd like.

I'm not really asking that everyone be purped to high heaven like we are, just that everyone can hold their own. I've run with a lot of people with not a singel token to their name and so I've had to outfit a lot of people in our runs. I'd like to pare down my collection a bit to focus on only a few classes instead of half a dozen.

I can understand the appeal of wanting to pare down run tickets. This was my first year buying out a slot and it was daunting taking the 3 guys I play with and ramping up and finding bodies for the whole run. Overall I'd like to try my hand at higher difficulty levels as I'm the only one interested out of my group. Depending on how the new set turns out looking to do a bigger investment for the first time.

If you had something besides Ranger you wanted to play, I'm not only interested in Nightmare combat runs, but I also have one Charm of Synergy and ten Charms of Good Fortune that can be lent out for each run.

Well we've never done nightmare combat, but we've made it to the final room of every dungeon we've done, all the way up to NM puzzle runs and HC combat runs. I've never felt confident enough with a random group to try a NM combat run.... but I would certainly be willing to give it a shot with a pre setup group!

I would be happy to run Nightmare with your crew Henwy (as I have off & on before), but I have a couple groups I run with regularly, so I'll refrain from tossing my hat into this ring. I'll just stick around as a possible fill-in for when our schedules happen to work out.
