Will this be happening soon? Seems like last year I it began shortly after the tokens were finalized.

I suspect it will happen somewhere between PAX West and Gamehole Com. August is kinda busy at TD HQ. ;)
Have you looked it up in the TDb?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

I have a request for transmutes that the TD community could help with.

I always thought it would be cool if transmutes had some sort of story attached to them explaining why certain items are needed to make the item. There are times when you look at a recipe and think, "why exactly does a cloak need dwarven steel" or the like. I'm sure the TD forums community could help shape stories attached to each of the transmutes that could go into the token database. Clues for things going on in future stories could be sprinkled into those.

Thoughts?
What do we want? Evidence based science! When do we want it? After peer review!

Request that Darkwood Planks make up the overwhelming number of transmute goods required for 2020 transmutes.

Transmutation requires special apparatus. I always thought of it as building the magic circle and consuming energies trapped in the many ingredients for equivalent exchange.

I would be very much in favor. I remember complaining about why the Greater cloak of destiny required darkwood planks several years ago. It made it feel remarkably better to be told the planks were used to create a magical scaffold on which to hang the cloak while the enchanting work was being done.

I would also like to put forward that we consider the poor old +2 holy great sword as a component for an alt recipe component for the holy avenger.

The basis for my argument are partly RP since the holy great sword was for several years TDs implementation of the iconic paladin sword.

The +2 holy avenger came out the year before the relic/legendary recipe which isn’t par for the course, an alt recipe based on the holy great sword would elevate the supply issues that could arise during the second year when the relic is available and the PYP is not.

It would give some value back to the +2 holy great sword which at this point is just about the most valueless UR in the game.

And it would give us something to argue about until the recipes drop

Hmm, the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw that image was

THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir
