TOPIC: Question about Token Images For Costume Prop Reasons

Question about Token Images For Costume Prop Reasons 5 hours 56 minutes ago #1

(Hope this is the correct place for a question of this nature) What started with “hey, I have that potion bottle!” while a friend was helping us sort tokens the other week has now spiraled in to a fun little scavenger hunt for real life token props to incorporate in to our con outfits for later this year.

I have a vague memory from one of Trent’s shows that token images came from an oddball mix of places, including things like charms and pendants from Hobby Lobby. Is that still the case, or are things digitally generated and cleaned up in house now? Specifically, is the Bead of Divine Choice, Bead of Greed, and the Fate Cards from this year based on actual, one-for-one findable items? (Asking before we go on a snipe hunt XD)

It really has been pretty cool though to see the progression and evolution of token images and art through the years and in general I think it would be fun to hear about the process and how things have changed and gotten either harder or easier, considering just how many tokens exist and how unique they all look now.
