TOPIC: Best Way To Buy Multiple TD Tickets

This is my first year going to GHC, and I'm going specifically for True Dungeon. I can't figure out the WIshlist/Event Registration, and I can't find guidance on it anywhere. If I want to buy tickets for multiple party members, do I need to have Friends/Familied them? Does everyone need to buy their own? Can I just buy 7 TD tickets myself and then distribute/assign them to folks at a later time? This is a very different registration platform than Gen Con, which I am familiar with.

TD is one of the few events where you can wishlist multiple tickets to the same event. When you select the run, click on the number of tickets which will produce a dropdown to pick the number you want. Specify them all for yourself.

You can go through the trouble of Friends/Family, but it doesn't work like GenCon, and I don't see the point to it. Just wishlist all the tickets for yourself.

Yes. just buy all the tickets for yourself. It's probably not worth going through the friends and family process for a TD run (and it isn't needed). As long as the person who bought all the tickets is there for the check-in process, everything should work fine.

Another note: I think there's a setting for "only get these tickets if I can get all of them". I don't remember exactly what it says. But, if you need 6 tickets and you don't check that box, you might only end up with 3 or 4 in your cart.

It’s definitely a bit different from Gen Con’s system, so you’re not alone in being confused! For GHC, you can buy multiple tickets for True Dungeon in a single transaction — you don’t need to have everyone friended/familied first. Basically, you can grab up to 10 tickets in one go (a full party) and then later distribute them.

Each ticket generates its own unique code/QR that you can forward to whoever in your group. They’ll use that to get checked in. If you want everything to show up neatly under people’s individual accounts, then friending/family helps, but it’s not required.

So yes — you can totally buy 7 TD tickets yourself, keep them under your account, and then hand them off once your group is set.

Just to add to the above, you can transfer TD tickets to GHC friends, but you do not have to. If you keep all 7 tickets, you could just meet the rest of your party out front and check everyone in. Some people prefer to transfer the tickets so folks can check-in at their convenience and the ticket-holder doesn’t have to stand out front, but it is entirely up to you.
