Thanks for your continuing patience with the process. We are getting close! I made some tweaks from your feedback including changing the Ring of the Vampire to the Earcuff slot since we already have another UR Ring. I think the FoP: Pilgrim effect is fine since the Phoenix heals 20 hp to you or another.

Thank you for your help.

Excuse me if someone asked this already but for FoP: Pilgrim, how could you ever use it to cure yourself of charm or fear? Those status effects negate your turn completely and you could actually never activate the FoP.

Phoenix is class restricted to two classes. If make some assumptions, like party of 10, that's max 40 healing across 10 players.

Also, there's a stacking element that routinely gets ignored with tokens. Many, many tokens are just fine in isolation, but the game isn't played in isolation. Plus whatever in one slot, then plus whatever in another slot, then plus whatever in a couple more slots, and we get builds that are way out of previous bandwidths.

Also, figurine is one of the few interesting slots at the moment. Not like feet is all that interesting, especially if you don't care about STR. Pilgrim is perfectly playable if it healed 5-6 hp and cleared conditions. If I could have every token, I'd run Pilgrim at that level over other UR figurines at least some of the time, where a number of the other UR figurines are class specific.

Jeff, I have a thought. The Arcanum Ring doesn't really do much for spellcasters so far. Why not make the 1st Ring a +2 Ring of Focus, and roll that bonus into the Arcanum Ring?

FoP trigger automatically without even using a Free Action. For instance, many allow a re-roll of a missing save -- but if you are turned to stone...how would you activate it? I like to imagine that the little figure comes to live and does the helpful thing for you -- once per game.

Can you please post this in the Volunteer and Special area? Thanks!

The vampire Earcuff sets new precedent for damage in the Earcuff slot (though that can be done indirectly with slot expanders). I’m not sure it competes with orbits or arcane Earcuff either.

The knightly ring is still not going to be very thrilling unless someone draws it in a pack. And even then they may have little use for it once they move beyond rare weapons. It’s likely to be the least desirable UR in the set.

Perhaps move the vampire item back to ring, and drop the knightly ring for some new Earcuff?

I like the change to the goggles. I hope it stays close to what it is. I like that will also reward the odd stats and help with the mage staffs.

Charm of Fickle Fate:

I'm thinking about the odds of this activating, and comparing it to Crown of Expertise which grants you 1 additional use of a spell or special power.

So, Crown of Expertise always works 1/dungeon and you get to pick your time.

The current activation range of Charm of Fickle Fate gives you:

With 3 initiative rolls:
* 0.45 expected uses per dungeon
* A 38.59% chance for it to be used at least once
* A 2.11% chance for it to be used at least twice
* < 1/1000 to be used 3 times

With 4 initiative rolls:
* 0.6 expected uses per dungeon
* A 47.8% chance for it to be used at least once
* A 3.97% chance for it to be used at least twice
* < 1/1000 chance for it to be used 3 or more times

Overall this seems "bad" to me - e.g. it's likely to do nothing, and when it does something the effect isn't so stellar (e.g. it's available on a UR head slot item).

I might:

a. Either put some other small bonus on this, like +1 to AC or immune to surprise.

b. Raise the range it triggers on to around 1-5 (could go as high as 1-7).

With a 1-5 triggering range and 4 rolls:
* 1 expected uses per dungeon
* 68.36% chance for it to be used at least once
* 11.87% chance for it to be used at least twice
* 0.46% chance for it to be used at least 3 times

Goggles of Presence:

Please put this back to a ranged Damage bonus.

Of the existing 12 UR goggles:
* 0 of them give a missile damage bonus
* 1 gives a spell damage bonus.
* 1 gives a melee damage bonus
While 4 of them, e.g. 1/3 of all UR eye slot items, give some kind of ranged to-hit bounus ( tokendb.com/to-hit-bonus/ranged/?fwp_slot=eyes&fwp_rare_box=ultra-rare )

I'd rather see something else entirely than another ranged-to-hit boosting UR eye item.

Maybe set the max to +3 and let you choose either +3 ranged to-hit or +3 ranged damage?

After just getting a legendary eye token, could also not do an eye UR. I'd like to see Boots of the South Wind or West Wind reprinted. Not that that will happen due to transmute path, so functional reprint that could just be +3 ranged damage in feet.

Or, make a shirt, even if shirt ideas at UR are hard.

The feared effect is: "victim cowers in a corner, unable to act; no AC change"

The activation ability of Figurines of Power is described as: "Like all figurines, this item can be activated instantly, without requiring any kind of Action–Free or Standard."

I don't see a problem - activating a figurine isn't an action.

If you think about it, lots of Figurines do weird timing things. For example FoP: Cat lets you reroll a failed save - but certainly you don't get an action between failing a save and having the failure take effect.
