Thanks for the good feedback and suggestions. I tweaked/changed some names and powers, and I swapped in an UR. Thanks for your help again!

Initial thoughts

1) I liked the ring of the vampire much better than the new ring and Earcuff. It was in theme and meshes well with existing melee rings.

2) I like the idea of having an Earcuff in the set. Maybe put the focus item in ear and bring back Ring of the vampire?

3) Citrine shard is still too good given precedent. Make it melee OR ranged?

4) I like the changes to pilgrim fop and hat of critical thinking

5) drop cloak of the saint and just make a shadow skin reprint. Then use it in the legendary cloak transmute chain back to Craven Cloak.

Im a bit confused on some of the changes. I really don't think we need another focus ring and second it moving to the earcuff slot if people think we need two focus items this year.

I personally think we should can the whole crossbow transmute path and just do a functional reprint or an actual reprint if the assassin's crossbow. If we are not going to retcon it like LoDS I don't see the point in the transmute path.

I think it is a huge miss not to have some type of life gain or hp on hit item in this set given the theme. We need at least one cool vampire item in the set and I think the ring filled that slot, I would even be on board with changing out the current charm for something like a vampire charm and making that one of the legendary transmutes for the year.

Theme wise, the vampire theme was great with the ring, and a cloak that makes you turn to mist was perfect as well.

While it does make sense to have tokens for all classes in every UR set as there are players who aren't already beyond the UR level in their builds, St. Gubb's Gorget is already the spellcaster token for the UR level player in this set. I don't think a focus ring is necessary at this time, especially when folks expressed a lot of favor for the vampiric ring on Discord.

Few things I'd do:

Cloak - change back to Cloak of Shadowstep and do the transmute progression to +4 legendary without the Retribution

Earcuff - change to Earcuff of the Accursed "+4 Constitution, -3 Will save"

IS Citrine Shard - change to "Regen 2 pts of damage at start of room" to better reflect theme

Ring of Dark Focus - change back to vampiric ring

Shirt - change to Shirt of the Accursed "+4 Dexterity, -3 Will save"

Create "of the Accursed" set bonus for 3+ items that removes all Will save penalties (not just from "of the Accursed") from tokens as that makes some older tokens better.

Realistically, if someone wore two "of the Accursed", they would just give up on Will saves, anyway, but going to three makes Will doable again, which is relevant to the transmute token.

+1 excellent suggestions

4 damage from a UR earcuff, even with the -1 will saves drawback (which I like and is thematic) establishes earcuff as one of the most powerful slots.

Compare with various UR damage rings which offer: +3 to melee, +3 to missile, +2 to all damage.

Then again, Earcuff is basically locked with either Ioun, Charm, or Ring slot expanders so this is unlikely to get used a lot.

The Will penalty could go up some, or the damage down some.

Shirt of the Lycan:

Do "Lycan features" do anything other than +5 to Melee damage?

If not the text could be simplified: As a free action, gain +5 to Melee dmg for combat (1/game)

Perhaps having "Lycan features" makes you immune to lycanthropy?

With the switch from benefitting Ranged to Melee critical, Hat of Critical Thinking is now the "hat of the Melee Monk and Ranger."

Those classes with a Melee build focuses don't really have anything going on in the head slot (Crown of Might is the the best option, or maybe rare +4 Will saves hat). Other classes will have to make real sacrifices to equip this (e.g. lose a set bonus and a good helm).

Melee Rogues can negate Sneak attack/crit immunities with a Bead already so while this may be a helpful item it's not as much of an improvement as it is for Monk and Ranger, who can only negate crit immunity with the wrist slot today.

I don't think melee Monk and Ranger need a boost - putting them even more over the top of all the other melee focused classes.

Even when the monsters aren't crit immune this hat adds +10 damage on each crit.

If Ranged Rogues / ranged players in general don't want the version of this hat that boosted ranged attacks, and so it will switch its power to melee, I'd either;

1. Restrict the classes somehow (Barbarian, Fighters, Paladin, and Rogue maybe).

2. Restrict its the function to require a shield and or two handed melee (this would prevent Rogues from using it as well).

3. Maybe delete this token and add a desirable reprint.

Otherwise it is, in my opinion, a pretty generous powerup to classes that are already walking away with the melee damage build category.

Note that melee monk is a distant second to ranged monk at the upper build levels
