TOPIC: Condensed Treasure for ALL!!!

After review of feedback from the January test for condensed treasure, we have decided to expand the offer for condensed treasure to everyone for the February VTD. Below is info!

Condensed treasure (CT) is an option for anyone playing VTD in February. If your total treasure across all runs played is LESS THAN 27, you will get normal treasure. If you have MORE THAN 27 treasure for your weekend total (and select CT) you will get condensed and any remainder will be in normal treasure.

If you select CT, that selection will apply to ALL runs for an event. So, if you choose CT for February and play 3 runs, that option applies to all 3 runs.

If this sounds like something you're interested in, here's how you opt in.

• Log into your account at td.events
• Click on your name in the top right corner
• Click "Set/Change Mailing Address
• Locate "Do you want condensed treasure? Select Yes to receive condensed treasure" option and select YES
• Submit to save

You can verify your choice (after you hit "Submit") by clicking on the option to "Set/Change Mailing Address" again and review the answers below. You should see "Yes" in the field below the question about CT.

I'm sure there will be questions, so fire away! I'm going to make a Q/A post below this one, so please read there in case your question has already been asked/answered. I know not all TD players frequent the forums, so someone please share this in your Discord discussions! I'll also be sending out an email to all February VTD ticket holders explaining the process.

If you know you want CT, I'd encourage you to go ahead and make the change in your td.events account NOW so that it's ready to go!

Q/A

1. I only have 20 treasure currently. But I'm going to play twice in February, so is CT an option for me?
Absolutely! If you have 20, your total for two tickets will be 40. That will mean you will have 1 condensed treasure pack and 13 normal treasure.

2. If I select CT for February am I stuck with that selection forever?
Nope! All you need to do is go into your account at td.events and change your selection from Yes to No. Now you're set back to noncondensed treasure!

3. I want CT but my friend that plays does not. I hold both of the tickets. How will this work?
In order for this to work, have your friend create an account at td.events. Transfer their ticket to them. If they enter YOUR mailing address in their account, we know that swag is mailed together. Because the tickets are in different accounts, we can do CT for yours (provided you have selected CT in your td.events account) and noncondensed treasure for their ticket. You must make sure the mailing addresses in both accounts are the same if you want them mailed to your address.

4. I'm not sure if I want CT or not. Do I have to decide at the beginning of my run?
No! As long as you make your selection in your td.events account before 0700 am on Monday (after the event) that selection will apply for the event.

5. Is CT an option for sending in treasure chips via transmute?
No, the CT option in your td.events account has NO IMPACT on any other treasure (transmuted, in person events, etc). If you send treasure chips in with a transmute order, those will be sent back to you in regular treasure.

Excellent! As someone who only gets max treasure if someone lends me TE, but who also does multiple runs, I really appreciate the change.

Does this also apply towards sending in treasure chips via transmute?

On any given weekend, I might do five runs, my partner four, and our friend three. I buy and hold all 12 of those tickets so we get the TG benefit.

Some runs may have less than 27 pulls per person. Is the ticket holder responsible for ultimately managing who got what percentage of the condensed pulls and what fraction of pulls came from which runs so all players get the appropriate split?

Of course, everyone could just buy their own tickets, but the bonus treasure goods are nice.

I don't think this "problem" is a big deal, but I have a spreadsheet that needs updating if that's the case

Edit: I should clarify all three of us will always want condensed treasure. We loved it. I don't think your answer in the existing FAQ addresses this, but if it does and I'm dense, just tell me lol.

Edit 2: thinking through my own question, since the amount of treasure per run be tracked as normal treasure again, I can easily figure out who gets what since 27 pulls = 1 condensed pack. I shouldn't be asking questions towards the end of a work day! Sorry about that.

Yeah, you answered your own question - so what am I even doing here? Ha ha - but you are correct. 27 pulls = 1 condensed. So if your friend plays 3 times (and again, all tickets are held by you, and you've selected CT in your td.events account) and they had 20, 20, and 27 pulls for their three runs - that's a total of 67 pulls. Their "share" of the total sent to you would be 2 CT and 13 regular pulls.

NOW - where this will be a bit confusing is when the TOTAL treasure that your 12 tickets earn doesn't end up with a remainder to MAKE 13 regular pulls. In that case, I guess you'll have to fight it out or something. Maybe keep track (I mean, you have a spreadsheet, after all) and the "remainder" pulls are paid out as you can. Jello wrestling...I dunno. The three of you will have to work that out amongst yourselves I suppose.

If that doesn't make sense - because Monday - end of day - I'm going off what you said below. You have 5, partner 4, friend 3. That's 12 tickets. Let's say you end up with a total of 264 treasure for the weekend across the 12 tickets. We're going to send you 9 condensed treasure packs and 21 regular treasure. Hopefully you're able to fill the treasure orders of the three of you out of that.

It looks like you also get a confirmation email, which will confirm the setting for condensed treasure. At least I got one.

Feature Request: On the main page when you click on your account: Under email address or near the physical address, could we show the option we currently have selected?

Something like:

You've answered and confirmed my suspicion perfectly. By and large it should be easy to sort out, and for the corner cases, we can sort it out.

I like the idea of jello wrestling for it. I'm going to tell my group Lori said we have to settle it that way.
