TOPIC: 2028 Rare Token Images

Please share your thoughts on these Rare tokens.

With Ranged getting a +2 to hit eye slot token, hoping there's going to be something good for melee in the higher rarity tokens, as that's as good as the melee best in slot eye token, which is an UR, albeit from 2016.

Would have also liked to see the drow weapons heal 1 hp on hit like the old ones did, instead of the +3 damage for the year, as I feel like they would get more use in the future that way.

Liking the barbarian bead, and the expanded use of the Mark slot as well. Also nice to see the TE greaves for newer players, since that's not a slot that they probably have filled early on.

Thanks for letting us review and comment. Here are a few to consider:

Charlatan Charm: That seems a bit weak for the Bard, would it be better as once per room?

Earcuff of Revelation: Would this be better as once per room? It seems weak for spellcasters at just once per game, but I can see that it could be overpowered for Rogues and Bards as once per room. I guess it's not possible to make it 1/room for spellcasting and 1/game for other.

Mighty Battle Sling: Should this be two-handed, since it is more powerful than the rare Mighty Sling?

Potion Mushroom Brew: "Use" should be "Used". Or change to "Max 1 per room" to save space

Trinket Ochre Hulk: If you have a stack of these, can you use them all in a game?

Should one of the Melee weapons be changed so that Wizards can use them?

I think a lot of these rare tokens are really cool especially the ones that give class specific extra buffs. Though I feel like the rogues is a little lack luster. We already have so many tokens that remove the 1/rd sneak delay and several do it while giving a stat boost of some kind or some other effect. Maybe it could also let a ranger sneak attack at ranged 1/game?

I'm definitely picking up the Mask of Ugly Agility for the Dwarf, bringing his CHA down to 1!

Scroll of Divine Judgment feels like a scroll that I'm finally actively interested in casting. At rare, the inability to use it without turning it in will make these hard to find in later years without vigorous reprints. It makes me want to grab a Shield of the Scholar and pop one in every combat room. A slotless +1/+1 for the entire party is no joke.

Some good stuff here! I particularly like Belt of Endless Arrows, and the Crown of Iron Will reprint.

+1 Dark Mystic Staff: we already have one that deals poison damage, maybe a different element for variety?

Ring of the Rugged feels like too much; the 4* tokendb.com/token/ring-of-stamina/ is +2 Con and I still routinely recommend it for budget builds. For rare level I think +1 Con, or +1 Con with a small kicker, would be great.

Charlatan Charm for Bard is an interesting idea, but I don't love having two completely separate tokens (one Bard and one Rogue) mashed together in a single token

Potion Mushroom Brew feels overly complicated (both from restrictions and because new players don't know what Focus means).

I'm going to collect a whole lot of those runestones for my Elf Wizard build, since it says Ranged attacks. Don't runestones usually just boost missile and melee attacks?

I admit, I was hoping to see the Drow Blood weapons return. Mask of Ugly Agility feels too strong to be honest.
