I'm writing a story and trying to include some names of various places where warriors would go to and be rewarded with an eternity of combat and partying such as Valhalla, but that is the only one I can think of. I know I have heard of several in my reading, but I just can't think of them right now. How about a little help?
It does not matter the mythos, in fact the more the merrier. I would rather not be nailed for plagiarism so let me know if you think it may be iffy.
Thanks.

Death in ancient Norse times was associated with varying customs and beliefs. There were not only different manners of performing a Viking funeral, but there were also several notions of the soul and of where the dead went in their afterlife, such as Valhalla, Fólkvangr, Hel and Helgafjell.

Thanks Alvin and Graven.
Those are places I am already familiar with. I don't want to harp too much on a single mythology, especially by getting into the obscure divisions.
And Graven, Elysium is one I had already considered, along with numerous other places, but it just does not quite fit the bill.
I am actually looking for a Warrior Paradise where the warriors are allowed to continue to show off their combat prowess, brag about their exploits as they tell the tales of themselves and their ancestors, who are actually there in person. The Halls of the Ancients, so to speak. It doesn't have to be human, it could be any species. It could be oral tradition passed down through the centuries (just as long as I don't get nailed for plagiarism). If you know of a source that comes from a book that is copy written, tell me and I will see if I can get permission, it never hurts to ask.
