Saw this article that a new branch of something called "Boda Borg" is coming to Boston (where I live). It reminds me of TD, just without the medieval fantasy theme. Has anyone else ever heard of this? It started in Sweden.

Looks interesting.

I think we are only seeing the very beginnings of interactive formats like True Dungeon and Boda Borg.
You can't fix stupid but you can TPK it.

Can't seem to get an image to copy and paste, but here is another example.

We have something here in Cincinnati that is about to open called Escape the Room, which reminded me strongly of TD without the fantasy element:

Big Bang Theory just did an episode featuring a room escape scenario.

Oh man, that's just a few miles from where I used to live.

Is that in the old Kroger store location?

With Game Junkie (an awesome video game store), a Donotos pizza and a Skyline Chilli right there it sounds like a fair approximation of gamer heaven.

Harlax,

That's exactly where it is, although Game Junkie is no more. There is a new gaming store down the street called the Illuminaudi (what used to be Cincinnati Sci-Fi). Owned by a friend of mine, who moved the store to the old Porter's Paints location so there is actually some damned room and parking. *lol*

Didn't MacGyver have an episode on room escape way back in the day? Never really watched it.

I used to frequent Cincinnati Sci Fi as well. My son was into Yu Gi Oh back then.

But we mostly went up to Lebanon to Ivory Tower Games. Sadly that is no more as well.

Fairly sure Mac did it more then once. Heck Myth-busters even did an escape room scenario on their Macgyver special.
