So I had an idea.

Would anyone be interested in playing poker at GenCon with sealed TD packs as our chips?

I was thinking we could assign point values to them similar to most transmute values 1 pt for commons, 3 pts for uncommons, and 6 pts for rares. If everyone bought two packs that would give each person 38 points to bet with (on the very random chance someone pulled a 00 in their pack he or she could swap out for a random common from his or her own collection).

Is this something anyone would be interested in?

Assuming it's a Wednesday afternoon or Sunday evening event I'd be down.

Might suggest 3-4 packs to have a bit more in the way of chips.

I'd be okay with that, I just decided on two packs because one seemed like definitely not enough.

I won't be in on Wednesday, but Sunday might work. Or maybe in the morning one day before TD starts running?

Sunday after con close works for me.

Convention days are WAY to filled with stuff. I normally am out with friends until 2-3AM each night. I'd not want to try for earlier mornings.

I'd be in on Sunday after the convention is done... and I can buy the packs at GenCon. I'd hate to buy them beforehand, bring them with, and open them, only to find a Golden Ticket

We can normally buy on site

Hell, for that matter outside of sealed runs how many of us need the ten pack that comes with our events? Save those for Sunday and there's your chips to play with.

You could just make the buy in X 10 packs, play with chips, and the winner gets the unopened packs. Means you may get lucky and pick up a 00.

That could be fun.

Problem there is we'd have to play until the game was completed and only 1 person had tokens.

Unicorns wild on Tuesdays. Sevens become blank cards every 4th hand but are wild on the 6th week of the year unless it's a leap year.

But that's only using standard rules and doesn't include house modifiers or the modifications due to sex, species and birthdays of the people at the table.

What is this poker you speak of? I could be down for either a Wed night or Sunday post con game.

I was thinking just a basic Hold 'Em game using TD tokens for chips (right now we're looking at 4 packs of tokens to buy in).
