TOPIC: PayPal text spam, robocalls starting July 1st

PayPal text spam, robocalls starting July 1st 10 years 1 week ago #1

http://www.geek.com/news/paypal-can-robocall-you-with-advertising-from-july-1624237/

Thought I'd throw this out there since PayPal is pretty integral to the secondary trading/reselling community.

TL,DR version - when they split from eBay they are going to force everyone to sign a new TOS that includes a provision to allow them to market to you via text, email, and phone. There is not currently a plan to allow anyone to opt out.

I was able to change my number to 513-999-9999 (it requires a valid area code).

Anyway, just a heads up on the upcoming dickery.

Is the phone number you listed possibly someone's number, or is it an unused number?

It's an unused number, doesn't actually go anywhere. :)

I also use the phone method to lock the account. Don't think I can change it without breaking the security. Let's hope the FCC bops them on the head first.

Done, thanks for the tip Brad.

Here's the other option as I may suggested as Hollywood style:

718.555.2504

As the underline of 555 is allow for Hollywood as it to go nowhere as well.

Why the split e-bay from paypal is simple for this reason that e-bay get paid by selling inform for the data collection and since paypal under their rules and regulations. This ways they can divide and conquer, so that paypal can get into the action of getting paid as well.

Also be mindful that if you call them for any issue that may arise that may have I.D. caller as well or having them call you back and to avoid this is call them directly as pin number is issue to you.

Now, AT&T, Verizon, Comcast are allow to data collection through junction of the judicial system by easier warrants to be given by politic beneficial$ to do so. This may involve standard illegal wire tapping, records calls and e-mail retriever through periodically update, where they coincidence may shut you out for about 24-48 hrs. They all send this information to be scan through looking for watch list "hot button" keywords to start quick private internal investigation without you know or acknowledge it.

The other benefactor to this Amazon that also own the newspaper "Washington Post" as well. So that it will get a bigger paycheck from uncle Sam, himself.

We all know that AT&T merger with Comcast failed. But now Verizon is trying to merge with AOL for more benefit. I forgot the other merger that was also happen for the same reason as well. So please inform the FCC that you against it as well as volume of people needed to also push this deal off.

DirectTV, AT&T, Verizon and Comcast has now change back of official for weekday 9-5pm only for within the states, but off-peak will send you to the Philippe worker for customer service and this part is a effect the whole weekend especially. The things is that they will take your complain as they would with minor assisting. But no such thing as getting anything money back or discount or evening being credit for their mistake, which is only reserve for during the in-peak of 9-5pm from the states is authorize to do so.

What the Philippe for cheap labor as possible $0.80-1.00 hrs. rate is what! Since they had socialism health care is not required at all for no addition benefit as we do.

This is from my nine months research and cross referring that got me deeply into messy corruption as free for all abusive power for the corporations as such.

Take heed, my friends,

Why aren't we using Dwolla? Anyone used them?

Heard about them for years, and the max fee is only 25 cents?!?!

After actually reading the agreement, I think the article is inaccurate. To be fair, PayPal may have changed it.

But it's pretty specific that they will only be giving phone numbers out to affiliates if they have some sort of technical or payment issue. It specifically says they cannot use them for marketing purposes.

Once you enter into a business relationship with one they have the legal right to spam you (until you tell them to stop), but that's true today.

I'm still checking out Dwolla
