TOPIC: What computer games are you playing now?

I was just curious what computer games people are playing these days? Are you playing MMO's or console games?

I'm not finding that much interesting out recently. The latest Witcher game (The Wild Hunt) was the last one I liked. There's a new one from Wizards, The Sword Coast, but so far I am finding it kind of flat relative to the story.

Anyone else finding anything new?

My wife is a huge Witcher fan. She's also played a lot of Styx master of shadows, Talos project, and Dishonored in similar vains.

For my money lately I've been playing shovel knight and working my way through my nintendo collection again (Im this close to beating the original castlevania, been stuck on Dracula's second form for months now).


I also can not say enough good things about the new kings quest game.

World of Warcrack... I mean Warcraft.

Hey, does Cogwinds Revenge count? Because I'm playing it a lot.

Guild Wars 2. No monthly fee. Core game is even free now. The new expansion costs though.

My guild even has some True Dungeon people in it.

I play Everquest, yes original is still around. (Thursdays) (PC)
I play Star Wars the old Republic. (Tues, Sundays) (PC)
I play Fallout 4 (Mondays) (console)

The other days are full of non computer games.
The wife plays Skirim (PC) and Destiny(console)

The last 5 years for me, I've had a lot of trouble staying interested in video games in general. I drop $60 on a game and play it for a couple weeks then have no interest in playing it anymore. I'm about halfway through Fallout 4 and haven't even touched it in weeks. I did play Witcher 3 all the way through and enjoyed it.

I don't play any console games. We have an XBox 360 that we bought for my step-son and neither one of us has touched it in over a year. My step son bounces back and forth pretty steadily between WoW and Heroes of the Storm.

I do spend a lot of time playing Clash of Clans. Does that count?

The only computer game I play anymore is Total Annihilation - an oldy but definitely a goody! I only play it when I visit a friend in DC, a few times per year. I do get the urge sometimes to try Empire again - the game we played before Totan Annihilation.

Does anyone remember Rogue? That was the computer game we played in college, in the computer room (since almost none of us had our own computers back then).

I find games with heavy story content to be my favorites. The Witcher series I have enjoyed for years. I have been through all of the Mass Effect series. (I am presently replaying those) I tend to play them more like reading a book. Halo was not my thing. Good graphics but more like Doom, rather than story.

I played Star Wars: The Old Republic for a while. The original with different story lines for each character type was great, but I am not finding the add on adventures to be that great.

Like most, I played WOW for a year, but haven't gone back after Cataclysm.

That's pretty much it in recent months.
