TOPIC: PayPal My Cash cards dont work for Canadians.

For my fellow Canadians that use PayPal, I thought I'd pass on this warning not to buy PayPal My Cash cards in the US and try to load it to your account. You may end up with money stuck on the card and no way to load it into your account.

Basically you can buy one of these cards at stores in the US and put money on it, then go to the PayPal website and load the money to your account. I was hoping this would be a good way to put US funds directly into my PayPal wallet (which is in US currency) without having to convert to CAD, and back to US with all the fees and exchange rates if I did it through my bank or credit card.

Unfortunately I spent a morning trying to get the money off one of these cards and getting the most unhelpful suggestions from PayPal tech support. Eventually I discovered that since I had a Canadian bank account linked to my PayPal account, the company in charge of managing the cards would not permit the transfer. Thus my funds were stuck with no warning on this card. After some web searches I found out that it can be quite the process to get your money back, if you ever do.

So Guys/Gals, watch out. After this, I wouldn't even recommend these card to my US friends.

Getting the money back:

Luckily I asked Kirk Bauer, here on our forum if he'd be willing to load the card onto his account and send the funds back to my PayPal account. Man, it's a leap of faith to say to someone 'here is access to my money, can you take it and give it back to me'. Kirk was awesome, and was happy to help me recover my funds off the card. I know Kirk already has a good reputation as token vendor in our community, but if you're still worried about doing business with him, I can say I have complete faith in his trust worthiness.

I seem to have similar problems with multi-platform company that recent arise from the separate from the old business model as many of the employee has learned 150 excuses you of liability while not being well-inform as to the tactic of diversity to dividing department that really meant without address the in-house policy that much be follow at all cost, but to elaborated again and again after being done with one question of the four that you had in mind just to transfer automatic and most don't want to read the extending note from last on top of the last. Then to realize the third-party contractor or freelancer are not really well training or social able on the new from the old formats, then to limited times before saying uncle. Still didn't receive my terminated billing or cancelation billing after 7 months without using service at all. Then the Wi-Fi has the worst quality as sound and clarifies the pronoun correctly to accent indifferent to brief silent that are similar to drop call. Then with a cherry on top of this, come digital deceit aka spooking to be hack able as their become more and more anonymous than the companies and federal more cover up into the Privacy Act than the taxable civilian especially from the military. To be more in custom to a dog eat dogs than cat eat dogs and it not like I hadn't gotten beating up for this than to realize like me many hasn't read their multi-level contracts as enter as well as exiting, then to be caught up in the red tape and the consisting human-error of never supposed to work correctly in the first to second to the last moment of desperate were ever needed. Then to understand billion on top of billion don't want to change/understand/relate to the 12 apostle than only the words of their own than that divine man to the biblical context to each their own, depend on the religion aspect and as founded.
