Are we still looking for a new hosting provider or has that decision been made?

What's a hosting provider? =D

We need to move it off of Doug's server soon...but I don't know where yet.

I use Hostmonster.com. Not sure if they have what you need, but they are the only server site that I am familiar with. Yes, it is a pay-for-host site but I did not want to muck around with advertising banners and such.

I think that members of the Dagger Run deserve some sort of an honorable mention page on the new website.

Some things to consider while updating site. Not everyone might have access to highspeed connections. I myself still use a dial-up connection. Therefore if the there is too many graphics, the page may take too long to load & time out. As is the case when I try to download the Tolken Guide. I have to have a friend downloaded it to a thumb drive. Not sure if any Mac users are effected, but I've been told Mac is unable to use Adobe Products. Lastly compatiblity of Web Browsers. Please try to make it usable for all browsers. I use IE. But I have come accross sites that will not display properly in IE (designed for Firefox only) Ect.

A chat window in the forums would be nice =D

Mac users are able to read and even create pdfs. I've not tried to actually install the full blown Adobe on there, but have used the reader successfully, but neither is necessary for pdf files. At least this has been my experience.

But the point is taken that we need to test on various platforms, and make sure that the site is developed for some standard size like 1024x768, no 1200x1600 so those who do not have 24" wide screen monitors can load the site page without having to scroll side to side as well as up and down...

Very true. You have Mac vs. Windows vs. Linux. You have IE vs. Firefox vs. Chrome vs. Safari vs. Mobile vs. iPad.
