Sure its happening as is by design but is there any chance we could get threads in token development locked rather then deleted when they are no longer of use. It would just make it easier to see where the conversation had been so we don't have rehash / try to remember the detail of what was said as much.

Sartre sits in in a coffee shop and asks for a coffee without cream. The barista apologizes “Sorry, we don't have any cream. Can I offer you a coffee without milk instead?”

Agreed, plus some of us might have missed some of what was said due to work or sleep.

Even if it was locked and unstickied, it would be better.

I personally agree with you and would prefer that the threads stick around.

However, I can understand why Jeff and TPTB might want to delete them. Some threads get very heated and might cause bad blood between forumites so it might be better to let them lapse. Having lots of old threads could potentially be confusing. Also, maybe it gives Jeff a bit of a "restart." Often times people complain that "Jeff said this previously." Things change. So if people keep dragging up quotes that Jeff made in the earlier Token Development threads (which are no longer applicable) it could get complicated.
