So, I spent a shift last year helping players log XP. We ran into a problem with the system.
If the player had created their account through the website themselves in the last year, I was unable to bring up their account. However, their e-mail address was indicated as already taken.
The obvious solution was to pray that they had a second e-mail address we could use to create a second account. I told all of the players who had this happen (at least 10 in that single shift who came through my line) to contact the webmaster and get it straightened out after the Con.
Lo and behold, I ended up having the same problem. I'd created this account when I suddenly needed a forum account as a volunteer, and it didn't come up when I ran the dungeon. (The previous time I'd run the dungeon, I didn't think that tracking my XP was necessary and skipped that step.) So, I, too have these double accounts. Today I sent my third e-mail to the webmaster asking that s/he fix the problem, since the two I sent in may went without response.
I think it's important for players to have the best possible experience, and streamlining the XP logging process is one of those things to address. It would also be very helpful for the webmaster to be able to respond to e-mails, even if it is to say that it's impossible to fix.
