TOPIC: More wonderings.

Just had this thought pop into my head this morning on my way to work. I was wondering if all characters will be human or will some other races be in the mix of the group? I'm asking cause of races having their special racial stuff, like low-light vision, etc.

The only other race is a halfling for the rogue. There should be no racial biases between any of the classes.

All humans save the halfling rogue. The infravision or dark vision would be tough to simulate well.

You could strap a pair of night vision goggles on their head. 8)

That would have been cool, but at leat $400 for a really good surplus pair, times at least 12 pairs, plus the fact they eat batteries like crazy... well you get the idea....

Maybe you could just make everyone else wear sunglasses and the one who didn't would have better vision.

Silly or not, it is an interesting proposal. We may have to give that some thought. If not for that purpose, then maybe as a result of a blinding spell? Hmmmm..... Jeff, you paying attention?

According to the last email I got from Jeff, he's working on finishing TD and is averageing 3-4 hours a night sleep. I'll mention it to him once he's caught up enough to remember the suggestion. 8)

How about having the sessions videotaped and selling copies to the players (if they want them) so they can see themselves?

Hey, you get a picture of yourself on the rides at Disney and they're not very cool. But a True Dungeon tape or picture could be.

This year we have a little bit of this idea... We have a night vision video camera that works very well to view the activities in one of the rooms. It's very cool. We're not taping it or anything, but it is enjoyable to watch.

Some ideas like you mention were tossed around during early module development - I'm sure they'll come up again. After all, the group on this site is the one we use to "test" some ideas

I took some pictures of groups going through the dungeon, but due to the extreme lack of light, they all turned out to be complete black, maybe they'll look better after I tweak with the brightness and contrast in computer, we'll see
