TOPIC: True Dungeon Chat is live

Folks,<br /><br />I've put up a basic hosted chat at:<br /><br /> truedungeon.com/chat/ <br /><br />The UI kind of sucks (the message field is too small) but if it turns out it is useful we can put something better up.<br /><br />Enjoy.

Thank you for letting us test it out.<br /><br />My preference would be to use a tool such as Microsoft's Messanger.  Something where the initiator can control who is invited to a conversation.<br />It would be useful for private conversations such as:  <br />  Token Trades between two people<br />  Volunteer Discussions<br />  Director Discussions<br /><br />I don't, however, want to sign up for AOL, Yahoo, MS Messanger, etc..  <br />In other words, if you could have the benefits of those services through the TD web interface, it would be much appreciated.  If not, no big loss as it doesn't exist now.<br /><br /><br />John<br />

Iwas happy to test and see I could get to link from work.  Most often things like that are blocked for me.

That's pretty nifty. Forum chatrooms are fun and useful - it would be a great place to do things like hold Q&A sessions or remote interviews.<br /><br />If you want a slightly more fully featured one, there's a pretty nifty flash based one called Flashchat that I've seen in action. Checking their website, it appears the full licensed version costs just $5, and you can bind access to it to forum registration names, have full admin, filters, colors, private messaging, and all that jazz. It's what the admin has installed at the Alizée America site I frequent.<br /><br />Chat's a good idea Doug
