Did I just spell that right??

Anyway, any word yet on what kind of cup/glass/stein will be available this year in the Tavern?

We are having a tough time find one that we like that does not cost too much. Imagine that. We will keep looking, but it looks like the cool ones are going to run tavern-goers something like $25.

Well, I'd rather pay $25 for a mug/stein that I like and can use over and over again through the year, than pay $15 or $20 for something I don't like, and might not even use after GenCon is over.

I think at that price - it had better be really cool for me to shell out more cash than what a 2 hour adventure costs.

I bet it will be cool - so I will be tempted...but if it came down to two bags of tokens or a cup...hmmm UTAP! Forever! (United Token Addicts Party)

How 'bout a CUP 2005 token... One could come inside each glass or mug! :D

You know, $25 is a bit steep; I'll probably buy one, but I don't know how many other people would.

Then again, I think that's an excellent idea of putting a special token in there! More people will buy it just for that.

Agreed on the token, especially if it is a "magic mug token".

Mug of Pure Water - Purifies one "drink" per room (as per scroll).
Everflowing Goblet - Generates one cup of water per room
Holy Chalice - Turns water into holy water, once per adventure (or wine? ;)
Goblet of Fire - Creates a small flame to light various items on fire (similar to flint and steel)

And if these tokens are limited print, then I'm sure more mugs will sell.

Something to think about.

I too would definitely buy one, but I think that TD needs to be careful, as I don't know how many people will be willing to part with $25. I think it probably would be a better idea to get too few and have them sell out than get too many end up costing TD money.
Hmm...I think the idea of a special token is a good one, but with a modification. Since these things are going to be expensive, what about a special token if a mug is pre-ordered?

What about having the token embedded in the mug itself?

Makes sense if the token is a "mug token".

Sorta like a prop in the dungeon... hrmm...

Makes trading a little difficult though. :^/

A "Magic Mug" Token would be great. I like those ideas!... I was thinking that it would be entirely mundane- sort of a wink and a jest at us UTAP token collectors (although marking it as a d2 blunt weapon suited for casual Tavern brawling might be cool).

And as for a Magic Mug, who knows!... Perhaps in years to come, one could assemble an entire placesetting! Spoon of Stirring, a Platter of Purity, Planar Fork... TrueDinner!
