TOPIC: The spam will be gone after tomorrow (hopefully)

Hey folks,<br /><br />I'm coming up for air from work/home/side project commitments and I see that the spam is out of control on the forums.  I will be upgrading out forum software early tomorrow morning EST.  The new version of the software is supposed to have spam control built in so cross your fingers.<br /><br />During the upgrade the forums will not be available but hopefully it won't take long.  All posts/users/uploads should be preserved.<br /><br />- Doug

Phew!  That's awesome!  I apparently have been sending out bulk e-mails on how to purchase Rx drugs online.  So, if you've received one of these e-mails from me, you (hopefully) know that it's not really from me.  I have not quit my day job and chosen a career path in on-line pharmaceuticals.<br /><br />Lori

Wonderful. It will be fascinating to see if the spammers can adapt. I guess that assumes that real people are on the other end of this nonsense. I suppose it may just be machines. Thanks to Doug for fighting evil.

On the other hand - the forums have been so slow, it's nice to see something new, even if it's just SPAM  ;/<br /><br />Just kidding - Fingers Crossed that it will work!
