TOPIC: Geography of TD Players?

After doing a spurt of recent trading, I have noticed a few trends:<br /><br />- A large proportion of TD players are from the Midwest<br /><br />- TD players seem overwhelmingly from the U.S. (aside from the occasional Canadian, like Raven)<br /><br />Obviously, a lot of this is explained by True Dungeon only being held at GenCon (in Indiana). Only those who can actually attend GenCon are going to be really interested in tokens. So that makes sense.<br /><br />But I am curious though if anyone's ever bothered to plot the distribution of TD players.<br /><br />And I'm especially curious if Jeff and Lori ever get any significant token purchases from outside the U.S. (besides Raven of course). Any big buyers from Europe? Etc.

i thought about the geography before and contempleted bringing a book for players to sign. not to get any personal info just where they hail from.<br /><br /> another idea was to get a world map and have players stick in pin markers. this is probably a bad idea from the sharp object point of view.

<br />If you did the map, we would have to find people from the two corners of the map, so it won't fall down.

Do that Facebook app that lets people mark where they are.

I recall there being a website that allowed you to do it outside of Facebook, as well, but can't find it now.  I suppose you could do it with a Google custom map, but I've not tried that before.

Why bother. You'll get to find out next year when Jeff starts the geocaching Lore program
