TOPIC: Circlet of Elemental Mastery - Does it work on Acid spells?

Just trying to do some advance planning.  I looked for this info on the forums, but couldn't find it (so sorry if this is a repeat question).<br /><br />The description of the token in the guide indicates that it will "transform the nature of an offensive spell to a different elemental source".  However, it then goes on to specifically reference fire, cold and lightning.  So can you change Acid (such as Melf's) into one of those elements? Or is Acid not considered to be elemental?

Oh, it's not a bad item since the wizard doesn't have a lot of great headgear choices, but it still only affects three spells from the list:  Ray of Frost (likely to keep it frost, cause, DRAGON), Burning Hands, and Scorching Ray.  Now, NEXT YEAR, when I get to play 5th level (with 3rd level spells)....  :angel12:
