One other thing I was wishing for was a pocket or two on the outside to keep frequently used items handy

Chris,

I bought 10 clear plastic poker chip tubes for this very reason, I'll give you a couple... they're perfect: they hold 20 tokens, so I figure I just put my weapon on top, and any healing underneath it, and my gear (which is unlikely to be used, but would be nice to know where it is just in case, beneath those). I also will have a tube of alphabetized "uesful" scrolls as well just in case... and they fit easily in your pockets to keep your hands free.
One thing I think would make it better is to use the actual token sheets instead of 35mm slide holders.

Last year, I decided to cheap out and use slide holders instead of buying a binder. Right before the first run, I unzipped my carrier and every single token had come out of its sleeve. Yikes! I bought a set of token pages and haven't had the problem since.

I love the design of the holder you came up with, but I'm really afraid of losing tokens, especially since my normal gear is all Rare or Very Rare. I like your idea of making the tokens "sticky" and was going to try hitting each with my 3M Post-It glue stick. I also might try to add a flap or piece of tape over the top of the slots for tokens that don't need to be removed during play (armor, rings, etc.)

One other thing I was wishing for was a pocket or two on the outside to keep frequently used items handy (like weapons and/or healing items), but I realized you could take one or both of the side flaps and leave them open which would accomplish the same thing but still let you store them "closed" if you wanted to.

I'm also going to replace the neck string. You're right - velcro just loves that thing... :)

These are just really minor nitpicks, though - the holder is a wonderful bonus that I will use for TD from here on out. THANK YOU so much for this great addition to the GT package!

Not taken as nitpicks at all, I appreciate the comments.

You know this is the 3rd or 4th generation of Token Totes - Raven has the very first one I ever made...they have come a long way - if you see Raven ask to see that one, maybe it is part of her costume, if it has not fallen apart by now.

New this year was the neck string - I got the idea for a neck worn tote when I got my first GenCon badge holder...

If I may - one suggestion for those who will wear it around your neck...leave it open, especially if you are using something to keep those tokens in place...OR especially if you are using two or more...they lay pretty flat when they are open.

As for the better grade cells - yes those TD pages are totally superior...they are also two other things, much more expensive and much thicker...I feared using anything that thick as it would cause problems in the sewing aspect as well as increase the stress points already mentioned.

Good suggestion, not berating it a bit - just believe me when I say I've looked at several options and given the current construction process and material used...I went with what I though worked best, abut there is always the possibility for improvements.

Keep them coming!

The Container Store has an excellent variety of tubes, plastic, metal, most sizes from 5 token capacity to 25ish.

Ah yes... it is always such joy as I, the DM you face, having described the dire situation at hand, begin to count backwards from 10... and watch... 9... the players... 8... scramble to empty... 7... tubes of tokens... 6... in desperation... 5... to find that... 4... perfect token... 3... for the situation... 2... oh wrong tube... 1... maybe this one... BLAM

Needless to say the GA Token Tote's rule.

The next best idea I witnessed last year was a guy who took simple, clear scotch tape and taped several of his equipment tokens to his chest and those consumables up both his arms.

And I still like the simplicity and convenience of the Widseth Velcro-backed tokens on a placard.

I thank you! Now if only I could increase capacity to say 100 tokens...hehehehe
