Follow up: I did some "stress testing" last night. I loaded my tote up with tokens and shook it upside down while open. I was actually surprised how well the tokens stayed in. For normal use, it should hold up pretty well.

Just for paranoia's sake, I'll probably seal in the non-consumables, but it would be pretty hard to lose a token especially while the tote is closed.

Excellent - thanks for that testing...

Love the Avatar by the way!

FYI - I'm not just the maker - I'm going to load one or two as well and use them on my runs...I think I will be going the double sided tape route myself - just to be sure.

Love the Avatar by the way!

Thanks! I'm trying to build a token bag "roll" as an automatically generated sig graphic. I started with the rotating token code as a proof of concept. :) (This is the only forum I frequent that lets you externally link your avatar, so I decided to take advantage of it!)

I was going to try some temporary 2-sided tape over the weekend. I used a random common to test the Post-It glue stick and it stained the wood. It's okay for personal use, but sucks if you ever want to trade the token.

A Post-it tainted the token...??? Wow - I wonder if the one you used was a Spider - I have never seen an effect on previous token runs.

It was a Post-It glue stick. You rub the actual 3M sticky stuff on the object of your choice. I bought a stick to use with my "'Great Escape' starring The Cubes" project (yes - I am the poster child for "idle hands are the devil's playground"...) and decided to give it a whirl. The token stuck nicely and the glue didn't come off in the tote pocket, but it also didn't fully come off the token either. (The tokens seems especially porous.)

The temporary 2-sided tape is probably going to be the winner.

ah - well I was using regular post-it notes...not actually putting a glue on the tokens...I'm sure glad you tested it on a common...

I can't wait to get my token tote! I just placed another $250 order so maybe both will come with that one. I couldn't resist getting a gold ticket for my girl.

I had a nifty idea last gen con with making some specialty dungeon delver clothing. Fantasy type stuff with little plastic see-through pouches for displaying what token goes where on the body. Complete with cloth bracers and such.

I've been experimenting with different methods of keeping the tokens in. Henwy is right - the only ones that seem to pop out with anything less than a brisk shaking are the ones in the very top row. I used some Scotch Removable Double-Coated Tape with good results. (My only complaint is that, if you're not careful, the tape will peel off the token when you try to pull it out leaving the tape inside the pocket. It's just a minor thing and it's easy to peel the pocket open and slide a token in there even with the tape stuck inside the pocket.)

Here's the tote fully loaded:

BTW - the closed tote is a nice place to show off your Survivor pins... :)

I can't wait to use this during a run - thanks again for these wonderful totes!
