Hey All,

A new version of the Price Guide has been posted. Corrected some typos, changed the color scheme, and changed the method for Combo Recipe Designation.

www.truedungeon.com/true/TD_Tokens_Priceguide_v31.pdf

Thanks to Andy for posting this.
Douglas
Douglas,

I gave the guide a look over. Looks good.

One thought.
You have a solid black border around each page, and in the middle(vertical) of the page you have a row of empty boxes. Presumably for spacing.
Have you thought about filling them with a black back ground so they match the border, and people don't have to scan up to see if thats a box that has something possibly checked.

Just a thought was.
*ducks behind brother in case something gets thrown at me*

Thanks for the suggestion. Actually did that and didn't care for it much. It merged too much with the solid black cells on the right.

Thanks though. If you have any more suggestions, please let me know.
Looks good, and I agree with the logic you used for the new valuations. The only thing I would change is the artisan token that sold for 40gp... that was obviously a fluke, and the trade value of the item is obviously higher than that (I think anybody on this board would give up knock scroll for it in a heartbeat). My suggestion is that you remove the outlier token (the 15,000gp that I'm assuming was Smakdown's prize), and take the average of the remaining artisan tokens and use that as the value of it...

I noticed in the price guide that the Hand Axe was color-coded consumable. I thought it could be re-used, so I checked in the Token guide.

The Token guide is not entirely clear on the Hand Axe - this is really a comment for the Token guide, and not so much the price list. Hand Axe is clearly listed as something you have to turn in when you use (pg 4). However, on pg 12, Hand Axe is listed with Masterwork Silver Dagger and Masterwork Spear as weapons that are good for both missile or melee. When thrown in a missile attack, these weapons must be retrieved. There's no mention in that section of the Hand Axe being any more expendable than the other two weapons in that category. And the Silver Dagger and Spear are definitely not on the list on pg 4. I guess they could be lost if not retrieved, but they all sound like permanent items.

For all three (I believe) they are all Melee until you thow them at which point, they become Missle weapons and must be turned in. Think of them as melee weapons with a bonus missle option.

-D

Thanks George. Since the Artisan tokens are not really in circulation, there is no point in trying to establish a valuation for them. So, until trades come in for the Artisan tokens (which I don't expect anytime soon), I felt it better to simply capture what the winning bids were.

I got the impression from Dave - Master of Tokens...that the spear and the SIL dagger were not burned when thrown. The hand axe could also be in this non-burner category...but we should check with Dave...

G

Hmm... that could be. Don't know.

It takes a round to retrieve them. That implies that they can be retrieved when thrown. We do need a Dave clarification, though.
Patience,
I get around to all of the threads, eventually.

My thoughts on the Spear and dagger were a round to retrieve and if you do not take the time to retrieve, it is lost. I think we should probably treat the hand axe that way, I will propose to Jeff, and make the change when we decide. (he is off the grid for a few days so do not expect anything until after the holiday)

My reaction when that came up in training (whether spear and dagger were expendable) was that I should have caught that and changed it already, but I did not.

So right now, the spear and dagger are retrievable, I feel the axe should be, but until changed is expendable if used as a ranged weapon. All are re-usable if used in melee though.

Dave
